Sounds like what we heard from Detroit fans when we gave Smith that contract.

With all the RFAs signed, the contracts for Vesey, Spooner, and Namestnikov all expire after the 2019-20 season, joined by Chris Kreider and Jesper Fast. Rangers will look marketedly different in 2020-21 in what will be Lundqvist’s last season on his long term deal.

next summer's UFA class shaping up pretty nicely, some good names

Duchene, Panarin, Seguin, Anders Lee, Karlsson, Eberle, Skinner, Pacioretty, Simmonds, Ryan Ellis, Wheeler, Jakob Silfverberg, even Brassard and Hagelin, along with Hayes and Zuccarello

good summer to have some $$$$ to spend

After the Rangers draft Hughes; sign Panarin and Karlsson, this dynasty is fully engaged.

Arbitration for Mark Stone (OTT): team offer, $5M. Player ask, $9M. This could be a record case.

Dylan Larkin would be an interesting one, because Detroit is in a little cap hell

Yup. His goals have been trending down, but have to believe thats the team and not him personally. Still only 22. Feel like he should be 25.

And he literally just turned 22. I think Larkin is an awesome player, and I think the Red Wings would match any offer sheet. He's a central part of their rebuild plan.

Yeah, they would match and then have to find a way to get rid of some money. Another team could really screw the Wings though if they were so inclined. Plus it would we be fun to watch in this incredibly boring offseason

I think Kenny Holland has really struggled over the last few years. Of course that team is in what is probably a necessary rebuild with the Datysuk, Zetterberg, etc. generation getting old or retiring, but before this draft he hasn't done much right, IMO, lately. And even with this draft, you can argue that it was hard to screw up.

As Jimbo said earlier, there are a lot of interesting players that could hit the UFA market next year. I wonder how many of them will actually get there, rather than being re-signed by their current club.

Seguin is interesting to me

seems thru the social media world that he loves Dallas (and must love no income tax) but i wonder if hes looking for a new team
