Do you ever look up player's contract details and no-trade lists etc before you make up rumors?

Why wouldn't we be able to afford him? Kessel Out (6.8 mil) from trade Hags could be out (4 mil) to FA, if the cap goes up even just a little, we could have 12mil in space.

That took me all of 3 minutes, from reading your comment to typing mine, what makes you think the GMJR wouldn't be able to finangle something even better with a year to figure it out.

They could probably make it work financially but I don't see it as a smart move. In his next contract Karlsson would likely eat up nearly all of what is cleared by moving Kessel and not resigning Hagelin. I think Hagelin can be replaced from within but I don't think Kessel can.

IMO, it doesn't make sense to bring in Karlsson. If they did, I think the only way it would make sense is with a corresponding move of Letang.

The Rangers expected backup this season proved himself well in his first 10 NHL games last season, while playing behind a poor team which was also ripped apart at the trade deadline to begin a rebuild.
Alexandar Georgiev's .918 SAVE %, along with his poise and confidence shown in goal for 10 games, was better than the "inconsistency" in the .906% of who you should only be worried about in Jake Allen for being your Blues #1 STARTER.
If you were referring to Ondrej Pavelec as being that Rangers "inconsistent" backup, even his .910% in 19 games played, was better than Allen's, making Allen then be even more "inconsistent" than you and Blues fans would have thought. What was the reason for you and your Blues fans screaming in madness for them to start Carter Hutton even more after mid last season than the 26 starts of 32 games he played in? That, along with his 2.09 GAA to Allen's 2.75 GAA, for a 94 points Blues team that missed reaching the postseason by a whole 1 point only.
Pavelec is still a free agent, if you yourself want desperately to sign him.
