He's 23 and one of the best Closers in baseball, when he actually plays.

I know he was on the outs but the Jays didn't even get one of their top 5 prospects (they got #10 and #23. And #23 has been caught doping and suspended 80 games). No matter how you look at it, this was not a very good trade, at all really.

I agree and I called it - no way they were going to get fair value in that situation. Fake argued and argued, but he had to go, especially the way they fired Zaun's ass for far less and made it very public. He is ahead of Mariano Rivera at this point in his career, now he gets to play with a team loaded for bear - his numbers will be great, until, he blows out his elbow again.

Osuna is going to be fine. Gibbons has always been questionable on how he manages his pitchers, with someone that understands them a bit more the injury situation might be considerably less.

They were looking for a reason to fire Don Cherry Jr and took it. Zaun's head was getting far too big for his shoulders and needed to be deflated a bit.
