Just saying, you seem to be really pissed at what the guy did.....but you dont know what he did.
He obviously did something....what? Dont know. - Fakepartofme

General manager Ross Atkins says this was about consummating a good baseball deal. But if you’re a team constantly craving young and controllable major-league-ready pitching, there is no obvious reason to trade away a 23-year-old fireballer with three-plus years as a reliable closer and two more years of team control.
Unless that pitcher has a criminal assault charge hanging over his head. Unless that pitcher chose not to fight the evidence against him gathered by Major League Baseball investigators from Toronto police, who accuse him of assault on a woman who is the mother of his child. Unless that pitcher accepted a 75-game suspension and loss of $2.5 million in wages — not an admission of guilt under the law, as his lawyer stresses, but certainly an acknowledgment of the weight of MLB’s evidence in the high court of baseball.
also gave up 2.5 mil without a fight (maybe a poor choice of words but you get it) |

That's basically what the Jays did in trading him for fear of the "PR optics". Still doesn't mean that the Jays "support domestic violence" by letting him play again, especially if he hasn't been convicted of anything yet either.
The Jays weren't there when it happened, just like nobody else except the parties involved. That's why trials exist. - Unholy_Goalie
What if they know he will be convicted or plea down a charge.
I disagree with your point.
Because they are in a constantly public-facing business and the players are potentially role-models for young people, paying him millions of dollars (or any amount for that matter) constitutes tacit approval on their part. I am glad he is gone. |

he's a good teammate and guy, and a terrible hockey player who contributes nothing to winning. He hurts a teams chances of winning - FLAM3SFAN

We will see exactly what's up PR wise with the Jays and MLB if Osuna earns World Series MVP consideration. |

I agree with you, Osuna had to be moved. I gotta believe that the Jays and for that matter, MLB know what he did.. If I was innocent, I wouldn't willingly part with $2.5M |

The Jays did the right thing and thats great.
it may end up going away.but guess what that doesnt mean he didnt do it. they said he is remorseful and was in counseling..why would innocent people do that?
The Jays must be confident there is truth to the charges.
Some fans dont care about DV enough..but imo baseball is secondary..luckily the Astros were willing to give up a decent package...but I dont really care about that. i cant cheer for poopty people

When did hockeybuzz turn into the #Metoo0evidence, baseballbuzz? Dozzer Dozzing off? End this madness. if i wanted to read about baseball i would go to a baseball site, if i wanted to be annoyed by the lack of evidence and sheep filled people on this metoo movement i would go to any boring news site. Enough. |

Ek's post that had something like his job was to be a mirror was one of my faves.
I also like when the HFboards guys sucked him by making up some fake trade rumour and Eklund reported it as coming from a source.
... Oh, and the "Who is in a better situation" thread has been glorious because of the contuining and unprecedented level of destruction unleashed on the thoughts and opinions of the two idiot Sens fans, who have had to disappear in shame |

Admittedly, there are a lot of social justice warriors nowadays, but how do you feel about the Osuna deal? Do you think he had to be moved or should the Jays have tried to "rehabilitate' him |
