That's basically what the Jays did in trading him for fear of the "PR optics". Still doesn't mean that the Jays "support domestic violence" by letting him play again, especially if he hasn't been convicted of anything yet either.

Because they are in a constantly public-facing business and the players are potentially role-models for young people, paying him millions of dollars (or any amount for that matter) constitutes tacit approval on their part. I am glad he is gone.
