Chris Taylor supported Nylander's promotion at the end of the year, truly believing he earned it. And Jason Botterill clearly thought the same. I can see the concern, but we all keep forgetting, he not only has 3 years left on his ELC, but he's also the same age as Cliff Pu, who will be playing his first year in the AHL.

Some guys just aren't ready for the pros. Botts would have seen that. Murray didn't care.

But it was clear his play was elevating towards the end of the year. Hell, the kid sat out of camp because his groin injury was not 100%. To me, he doesn't need to make the Sabres out of camp, but he better dominate that prospect tournament.

Hmm, that's all I think we get from the new regime. Nothing wrong with that, but all we get from them is boring statements supporting their players. GM, AGM's, coaches, owner, Rochester...all of them.

I have no issue with them looking at a first round pick, in fact, I support it. Was he the most deserving of that call up on merit? I didn't think so, nor did I care.

I honestly don't see the direct correlation between one of our current NHL dmen and some drafted guys that are at the very least 2 years out. It means nothing. It means they were BPA. That's it. And if by some miracle all of them work out to be these great top 4 dmen, then I guess we'll be Anaheim.
