2nd or 3rd I guess. Lost some value last season for sure.

I think he'd be a somewhat painless loss in the expansion draft. I like him, but I like Guhle more and Pilut isn't going to need much time in Rochester. JB added depth at LD in a hurry.

- Lunaion

Maybe I overrate players like him.

A guy we brought thru our system
A 2nd rounder , who I always thought played above his draft position.

He is getting to his prime.
I have more faith in him then bogo or Nelson
I think hes better then scandella or at least even

Not sure who was hating on you.

I just dont subscribe to the Sabres being a playoff team in 2019, although I do see them being much improved...18-22 points better, not the 36 or so it will take to qualify for the playoffs.

To achieve the last playoff spot in the east, they will need to
- increase their GF to about 240-245, from 198 (~20%)
- decrease their GA to about 240 from 278 (~13%)
Bergy and Sovotka coul cover the points lost by ROR's departure, and Sheary could cover Kanes contributions....that merely g3t you back to even. The rest of the roster needs to find thoee extra 40 - 45 goals...While playing better defensively to shut down about 40 more goals

That is a very tall task to accomplish in 1 year.

Look guys...
a post that makes sense

Unfortunately,
it’s unlikely that we score enough
(or even come close)
unless the defense/goaltending just happens to be amazing

There’s a new-ish alcoholic flavored soda water that all the basic girls from the suburbs have been asking for

I just tell them it’s the same as a flavored vodka & soda

Not a fan.
All the sudden I'm supposed to talk about how great sam is when I'm trying to prove one point about our talent, but bag on him the rest of the time?

I'll save that for gerbe, talking out of both ends.

Man, believe me : I hope sam turns out to be a great player. I'm a Sabres fan.......

The stats are the stats.

And sams are better than any of the others you named

Intangibles

Hope he explodes this year
Hits the gym all offseason
Comes back and get 65-70 points

The added muscle hopefully keeps guys from destroying him.

I agree. Just wondering if scandella is a jbotts guy, being that he traded for him.

McCabe is a Darcy guy?

He had a really rough year. Maybe he'll bounce back. I see him as 5/6, with a lot of prospects ready to fight for his job.

Dahlin, Pilut, Hickey, and Samuelsson added a lot of LD depth very fast.

Briere and Drury

Hasek was gone right?

Talent wise , I would take dahiln and eichel over Drury and briere.

Then we have mitts. Guhle, risto and even sam.

On paper were better with skill now vs. 2006

Just my opinion

Edit: ryan Miller, pommer and vanek too. All good players
Ruff was a much better coach

- Boss34

I would trade this team in a heartbeat for that team

Sorry

If Josh Allen doesn't end up making it, it won't be because they "ruined" him by playing him too early. Players who have "it" don't get ruined by playing too early. It might take a while, but if a player is good enough, he will figure it out eventually. If he doesn't, he never had "it" in the first place.

Your spot on.

McCabe is similar to risto
Risto as a #1a is tough
McCabe as a 1b/2 guy is tough

Risto as a 2 and McCabe as 5/6 fits them better
