That’s gonna be hard to do imo
They still have enough to possibly take a run at the postseason
Depends how good Lundqvist is

- jdfitz77

one of my best friend is die hard ranger fan

he has already accepted the sabres will be better then them this season

Namestnikov and Vesey need to take huge steps and Hank needs to be a fringe Vezina finalist for them to have a shot IMO

How’s your golf game these days?
Just posted my second course record yesterday. Private club in Minneapolis, 9 birdies, 1 bogey, 64. Didn’t even make a putt outside 8 feet. Made a weeks pay in the process, dude just kept pressing. It was a good day. Think I’ll go fishing this week.
Hit em straight!

- TheHank

That is awesome dude, congrats. I shot 75 today, 5 bogeys and 2 birdies.

Trying to find "flat" water in Germany is like trying to find the sense in a Gerbe post. Nigh on impossible.

Mission impossible fallout 9.1/10 for me

Would have gave it a ten but the villain was so obvious in the beginning

I love how Sabre "fans" are hating on me because I think we could be could enough to grab the 7th or 8th seed in the east

I agree with you.
The Sabres have as much talent now, as they have had in years.

Need to beat 8 teams to make the playoffs

Briere and Drury

Hasek was gone right?

Talent wise , I would take dahiln and eichel over Drury and briere.

Then we have mitts. Guhle, risto and even sam.

On paper were better with skill now vs. 2006

Just my opinion

Edit: ryan Miller, pommer and vanek too. All good players
Ruff was a much better coach

“And even sam”.

He’s a 50pt player on an ELC and he’s trending upward every year!

Not a fan.
All the sudden I'm supposed to talk about how great sam is when I'm trying to prove one point about our talent, but bag on him the rest of the time?

I'll save that for gerbe, talking out of both ends.

Man, believe me : I hope sam turns out to be a great player. I'm a Sabres fan.......

I've always liked McCabe, but it feels like Pilut and Borgen are younger, cheaper replacements soon.
- Lunaion

Difficult to be cheaper then McCabe is on his current deal unless a player is on their ELC.

On his current deal, sure. I was talking about after this season, when his deal expires and his logical replacements have a year in Roch/Buf. If McCabe plays well, he's due a raise. If he doesn't play particularly well, Guhle and company may push him to the press box.

I have always like McCabe.
Hard hitting, try hard, home grown defenseman

You bring up a good point though, young guys will be pushing these young vets.

Wonder if jbotts is worried about losing him in the next expansion draft?

What is his value? 2nd rounder?

2nd or 3rd I guess. Lost some value last season for sure.

I think he'd be a somewhat painless loss in the expansion draft. I like him, but I like Guhle more and Pilut isn't going to need much time in Rochester. JB added depth at LD in a hurry.
