My next question for Mr. Tanner is what was the sample size when Djoos was away from Orpik last season?

Let me guess as to how the blog went.....Orpik=BAD! Every D-man(in the entire world) under the age of 23= REALLY GOOD!(at least potentially)

What an excellent and relevant question you have asked sir. I too am curious what Jimmy Tan Tan's response will be.

Here's a fun fact for you: James Tanner has never actually attended an NHL game.

Ever.

I'm sure he will point to high ticket prices, but I wonder how much he spent last year on smokes and CDs.

Instead of wasting that money, wouldn't he have been better off actually watching a hockey game live? Maybe he could have learned something.

Or maybe not.

Sincerely,

I'd be surprised if he watches the two teams he writes for on TV as well.

There is no analytics that can back up Wilson being a good player.

I still can't believe GM's can't identify who drives a line and who is replaceable.

You put countless bargain basement guys with Ovechkin and Kuznetkov and they do what Wilson does.

Every Caps fan should lose their mind. He's a 3.5 mil player that should have gotten 4 mil during to the Cup tax. This is ridiculous.

Shocking.

I know the agents of players like Marner and Nylander of the Leafs are not grinning from ear to ear. If Wilson can land that contact they must be backing up the truck looking for 7 or 8 or 9 million for their guys.

What a brutal signing!!!

It's a bit high no doubt. I figured 4.5 max. Is what it is. If he keeps improving it will be well worth it and it only takes him to age 30 or so. Not too much downside.
