Be realistic. The fans understand the team wasn't going to be good. They accepted it and got over it. I'd say 90% of fans are standing on the middle ground. Something you don't know is there.

Aquilini has been silent for two years now other than his positive tweets on Twitter.

If I was Aquilini , I would have told Benning and Linden at the end of the season this team is a Goddamn mess and you better fix it fast. That could easily be translated into speed this rebuild or else when in fact I am telling them to get rid of some of these current ugly contracts.

I think once the season starts you will see guys like Gagne Loui Gudbrandson either improve of be gone.

Travis gave his list of players he wants to improve his team and I think this year you will see an improvement.

This is what 90% of the fans feel. The team isn't there yet but is striding in the right direction. Accepted that the team has been bad but it has been good because they have got a good prospect pool now and things are looking up.

I think the challenge to the tank is getting competitive again. Toronto has been lucky to turn it around so quick after unintentionally sucking for decades and intentionally tanking for a couple seasons.

Buffalo went all in right from the get go last year and Edmonton did it with McDavid against Buffalo
