Ok. But this is a safe place for fans of other teams as well? Especially if you're not name calling or being abusive?

Yes it is, carry on on that premise and all is well.

I hope they dont trade Tanev, i think he is more valuable to us mentoring guys like Hughes, Juolevi and Rathbone in future. For what you can get for him compared to what he can do helping the kids, he seems more valuable here.

This is true, Tampax isn't just a plug, he's a good example of hard work and dedication.

This is a wild idea but you do know we could extend Tanev? He is only 28. I understand it is not ideal but he does bring stability and until you find some RHD he could buy you time.

It will be interesting to see how Stecher and Gudbrandson play this year. I am not expecting anything but IF they do improve it buys time.

I think when Hughes plays our style of D will change.

That is one guy I am really excited to see play, watching his skating and puck movement is awesome.

I think so too I just wished it was announced last week instead of bundled in with the Linden fiasco .

Quinn Hughes returning to Michigan doesn’t mean #Canucks fans won’t see him this year.

He’ll be a star at the WJC and will all but certainly join the NHL club at the conclusion of his NCAA campaign.

Seems like a good move. There's no rush, even if it would have been good to see him play this year. It's also a decent sign that they Canucks' management were not hyper-pressuring him to sign. Plus, he probably would have made the team better.

His defensive partner is a free agent if he doesn't chose to sign with the Dallas stars at the end of the season. A large RHD man.

I know a lot of people won't agree, however a bottom 5 finish next season wouldn't be such a bad thing, provided they worked hard and battled every game.

Watching the young guys come in and learn without having that pressure thrown at them by management.

I'll derive my enjoyment by hopefully seeing some light at the end of the tunnel.

You aren't even standing on the edge of a 100 story building, you have already started to make your way down. A total free fall. I hope you find happiness in something else. This team obviously isn't it.

"If you don't blindly support the team through complete disorganization and failure then you're not actually a fan"

Maybe people supporting blindly and saying everything is AcTuAlLy GoOd the last 4 years despite all the red flags is one of the reasons the team is in the hole it is in.

Did you read the article? Good that JB and company are onboard with what he wants. If he did turn pro, it would have been just another problem for the defensive logjam.

more would agree than you think.

I'm always hoping for the playoffs, and want to see the team win, but accept we need more skill in the lineup, another top 5 pick would help.

The best scenario all along was for him to go one more year.

First of all all three LHD starting D contracts expire this year . It gives them time to make a decision of which ONE to bring back . It could also increase their trade value.

For Hughes personal growth it was always the best decision to play another year in NCAA

I don't think the fan base has anything to do with where the team is right now. That's utter stupidity.

I don't see how it could harm him going back for another year. I am a bit disappointed, I would have liked to see what he could have done this year.
