Well I mentioned he needs to drop the mitts once in awhile. Just play with an edge. He is too docile
- CanuckDon

You're right... his game is still tentative needs his balls to drop a bit and not just be happy to be here... but be here to make a difference!

I'm not sure its reinventing if that's where he is already... embracing the defensive side of it. He's already a impressive penalty killer and a excellent forechecker. Its more like continuing to develop his strengths.

Vantel and I have debated and I really don't know why a player that fits a roll like the 4rth line needs to get 15 goals to prove himself or be waived.

- boonerbuck

Results are not always goals & points.
How about as fans we all take it in stride.
Our 4th line was sad & nothing in the system & I’d think TG being in Utica probably advised the same. All in all the 4th year ppl get hung up on & the money that doesn’t hurt or hold back our cap. JB said players will lose jobs if kids win them. I can wait & see that happen & JB will carry through with that promise once again.

I’d like to see Gaunce add to his game also. Wreak some more havoc on the forecheck.
He’s been around long enough to lead more & make himself more valuable either as an asset or for his career.

Lefty's draft standards are just absurd. One more second round pick gets you?
Second rounds picks with 100+ points in the NHL
2014- 0
2013- 0
2012- 1
2011- 6
2010- 5
2009- 7
2008- 6
2007- 4
2006- 7

1/4 at best.

Past the first round it truly isn't a waste to get a player that can put up 30 points a season in the NHL for a 2nd round pick.

The theory more darts is more chances i do not subscribe to. I’ll always say unearthing a gem is hardest to do but thats where scouting & JB come in. To date i cannot complain. Still proof is in the pudding. Demko Gaudette & some others can be difference makers if they keep projecting on current growth curves. It will come down to WHO we draft & how they pan out not quantity.

I don't care if he fights more but would like to see more hits like the one that started this fight.

When there are 2 teams Canucks & Utica thats 12 top 6 F’s. Adding to that a lack of C’s league wide makes that more difficult. Wingers are a dime a dozen but hard to perform at their max without playmakers. 3rd line shutdown players is the better opportunity for many players. Scoring depth down to 3 lines is a rare occurence. Here we are building a 4th line while top 3 are a work in progress from within.

There are only so many players that make an impact in the NHL in every draft. I'd rather shoot with accuracy then shoot as many as possible and pray you hit the target. It is a crap shoot but that's why they invest the time into watching the players. 30 other teams picking at the same time. Not going to get all the good players.

Sure but how do we develop players without quality playmakers?

Develop work ethic & training habits. Teach systems & D. Talent on paper every team has but its on the ice that counts.

(frank)ing hell... they were just exposed in filming a big chemical attack false flag in Douma by the OPCW with all the forced patients in the film stepping forward saying they were in the hospital for non chemical attack reasons and... Israel evacuates them. All the other times the White Helmets got on the green buses with Al-Nusra(Al-Qaeda) and were moved out to other rebel held areas but this time Israel literally removes this particular group of them out of country. You don't have to look far for the source of the false flag attacks. Israel just downed a Syrian jet dropping bombs on ISIS the other day. They've come out and said they would rather ISIS and Al-Qaeda on their border...Meanwhile, our trusty media keeps talking about Assad's chemical attack... and protecting these Al-Nusra jihadists that are supported and coordinated by intel agencies. Credible journalists blow the whistle on this propaganda act. Award winners like Craig Murray, Glen Greenwald, Stephen F. Cohen, Chris Hedges, and many more including journalists who have been in Syria for most of the war like Vanessa Beezley... America's mainstream news is just pure bullpoop... worse than ever.

No, you haven't you're correct. You're fully immersed in what the Leafs do,what they stand for or what they are looking to do. You bring it all over this thread. Conversation has nothing to do with the Leafs, no worries,Vantel will guide the conversion that way. It's beyond nuts. You have to see it, surely? Probably why the locals are fed up of the Leafs. It's you.

If someone said they coughed, you'd post a picture of a Leafs player coughing. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But I think the regulars are pig sick of it.

Many ways to win
Keep the puck out of the net-NYI
Legit goaltending
Have the 90% of those F’s actually play D
Better scoring threats on D-Canucks
PP & PK win or lose games
Lower scoring teams bare down harder
Draft talented playmakers
Snipers are best but does not always translates into the pros
Players buy into systems & bust their ass

Just a few thoughts...

For sure. But points count right? We're not taking points away from teams now?
