Toronto is cup favourite. Carolina has had a good team the last 3 years but can't buy saves, they also added a top 10 defenceman. Phili is the weakest of the mentioned teams imo. Jersey relied on hall and barely sneaked in and I think they may take a step backwards this year. If Edmonton doesn't make the playoffs this year I would be surprised.

Till Tavares has to deal with Bergeron

or hedman or hall or crosby or mcdavid. All the guys that basically manhandled him in head to head this past year and in playoffs.

At least Tavares wont get manhandled by Matthews again.

Will love the leaf fan reactions when JT stays out for his shift too long gets gassed and losing game in OT. or even better showcases his 5% conversion on shootout.

I think their favorite part is going to be when he rolls in three seconds late, riding his check’s wake after the lamp is already on. I KNOW it will be Babcock’s favorite part....LOL....

I think the 3rd jersey should double as pajamas.

You guys are ridiculous. Why talk bad about him ? JT was/is what he is. With better coaching and teammates, he might gain a new perspective. He left us for his dream...so be it. Don't get me wrong, I'm bitter too, but be better than Leafs fans !

Pretty sure the Islanders were the HUGE favorite to sign JT. How did that work out? For all those Toronto guys who love to spew..."Everyone knew he was coming here all along." you should have put some Money on it.. it was over 6-1 going into that Friday.

Id like to know everyones prediction for upside surprise candidates? Here mine

Beau scores 30.
Nelson has his best year as an Islander
Bailey surpises the haters without Tavares.

Lee will be most impacted by JT leaving. His stats will drop.

Ladd will be bought out.

Isles could very well be a wildcard team. However, I do expect a mediocre - not bad - first 3 months though due to gelling, system changes, etc.

if Ladd is bought out the actual cap savings are less than 700k and his cap hit is just under 5 mil. It's essentially buyout proof. At least until the next cba negotiations where I'm sure there will be some compliance buyouts that don't hit the cap.

So if isles are wildcard team it would be no different than 9 years we had tavares. Except we have 11mm more to spend.

Id love for our team to really take it to league. I still dont know what opening day roster going to look like

Today on BD's Troll comment section we have:

Devils fan making fun of the Islanders losing JT. Forgetting he is a fan of the team that went through this .... losing Parise and Kovy and have not recovered since.

Toronto fans who have not won a thing in my lifetime and I am almost 50.

Edmonton fans who somehow had about 7 first picks over-all and manage to still stink and trade most of them away every year.

Flyer's fan who are really really excited they got JVR back but fail to remember they have not won sht since the 70's.. but think they are superior to Isles. (enjoy A-Mac)

Aaaand a Carolina fan who are looking at missing the playoffs for the 10th year in a row but still think they are relevant. good luck with deHaan.. I'll take the under on 45 games a year healthy.

I'll see myself out..

Allow me to hold the door!

Terrific spot on post! They whined & cried. Tried to put U in your place but U nailed it. Their cries fall on deaf ears!
