Agreed because it can easily be replaced by a chutney.

I’ve pretty much said this all along, but the majority would rather twist the martyr’s words.

Okay, if you have that answer, let’s hear it.
- SuperSchennBros

Ok, I wanted an answer, but since you can not do a simple thing like explain what you consider "replacing production" is then I will go ahead.

First things first, invalid definition of "replaced production" is stating another player has to score the same amount to offset another players production and the players previously on the team do not count. That's just logic 101.

Secondly, this is a team sport. Players do not play or contribute individually for production. So how did the Flyers team produce during the last season WITH Brayden Schenn and the current season WITHOUT Brayden Schenn?

Flyers Season Production (Past 2 years)

17-18 Season
Goals For: 249 (+37)
PP Goals: 54 (0)
PP%: 20.7% (+1.2)
ES Goals: 192 (+38)

16-17 Season
Goals For: 212
PP Goals: 54
PP%: 19.5%
ES Goals: 154

Brayden Schenn
16-17 GP: 79 G: 25 PPG: 17 ESG: 8

As you can clearly see the Flyers increased OVERALL scoring production by 37. Fact.

Then you can clearly see the Flyers increase EVEN STRENGTH scoring production by 38. Fact.

Brayden Schenn produced 8 even strength goals out of his 25 which is 32%. Fact.

Now what about the power play production since Brayden Schenn led the team with 17 PPGs in 16-17 season?

Brayden Schenn scored 17 out of 25 goals on the PP, which is 68%.

Obviously the amount of power play goals were the same in both seasons at 54. Fact.

But the PP efficiency improved to 20.7%, an increase of 1.2%. Fact.

Not only was Schenn's production replaced, but it was increased substantially. Fact.

Now share YOUR opinion, I only share facts.

Dude you literally called yourself a martyr...like three times today. You ended a post with "the martyr has spoken"
- bulet13

Yeah, after being called it so many times! Might as well as embrace it.

You guys might want to consult each other in arguments.

Okay, I’ll explain because I’m not this much of a loser that probably just saw you leave ten stat web sites just to make a point to a faceless stranger...

Schenn our. JvR in.

One produced X amount of points and was traded. JvR produces X amount of points, signed in.

Because I married into a family from Pittsburgh.
Also, I always liked Mario Lemieux growing up.

That said, there are several players on the team that I'm not a fan of.

Absolutely not. I never said I would want a redo on the trade.

What I’ve always said is, I felt like the deal was too soon and I felt like we would have been a better team with Schenn last season. We had drafted Patrick, Konecny is and did only get better. I stand by that we did miss Schenn. So much so that we signed JvR. Anyone here is free to dive into the differences Schenn and JvR as players but we added another player to help with the production lost by Schenn. Now the deal isn’t such a big deal to me. The deal could have happened last summer or this summer, no big deal because now the production is now properly being replaced.

- SuperSchennBros

it would be silly to say the team was better without Schenn than with but that trade was obviously made with the future in mind. Hextall loved Frost and it put him in the position to get the player and having the Blues miss the playoffs was very fortunate.

I KNEW IT

First off, you seem to believe JvR was signed to "replace" Brayden Schenn. Ok, that is extremely weird, but ok.

Then I 100% prove, using facts you may re-read at any time, that the Flyers did indeed increase OVERALL and EVEN STRENGTH scoring production WITHOUT Brayden Schenn and REPLACED his PP scoring production.

So JvR is replacing something that has already been replaced or adding additional production?

I'm not too familiar with D&D, could an encounter be created where you enter into a gwent tournament with an evil sorcerer, winner gets to bed the princess?

Schenn as a top six forward who produced points on LW was traded. JvR was signed as a LW to fill that hole.

Why is this weird? Explain how this is a weird concept to digest.
