I leave it to the viewer to decide who is who.

If I’ve said once, I’ve said it a million times. We didn’t miss Schenn last season...so let’s go out and sign James van Riemsdyk.

So he is still eligible to sign this years qualifying offer?
- NC Flyers Fan

The Flyers have already presented the qualifying offer to Hagg, I believe it must be at least a 10% increase over the previous seasons amount.

Even though the Flyers presented a QO, they can still work out a longer term deal in place of the offer, which is only for 1 year. So if they can not reach agreement, Hagg could sign the QO this year and the process would start over again next offseason. Although players have the ability to elect to go to arbitration once if both sides can not agree.

How do you guys plan to improve the penalty kill if you’re not having outside help coming in?

First of all, the coaching staff obviously has looked long and hard at it. Talked about it at the end of the season. I think the last twenty-two or twenty-three games we were pretty good at it.

78.4% isn't what I'd call a pretty good PK.

Let me get this right. I cried because I said Jake Voracek is overrated?!
- SuperSchennBros

This is why people make fun of you, you can't even follow a simple thread without jumping around inside your own head. Did I mention Voracek? No, I stated YOUR almighty opinion no one seems to respect, like the countless other times you have cried by stating "MY opinion".

Nobody should care if I think or anyone else thinks a certain player is overrated but my god, these guys cry like they just finished watching Titanic every time I give my opinion.

It's odd, his QO (and Martel and Goulbourne's) were only 5% increases, but I thought it had to be 10%.

Edit:
Players who earned less than $660,000 in the previous season must be offered 110 percent of last season's salary. Players making up to $1 million must be offered 105 percent. Players making over $1 million must be offered 100 percent.

you're rubber cement

edit: I thought the Schenn trade was a good one. The team more than made up his production. I'm not really a JVR fan.

His total ELC contract was $2,775,000 over 3 years, making it $925,000 avg per year. With a 10% increase it would make it just under 1.25 million I believe. Is that how qualifying offers work?

Jumping around in my own head. You didn’t give an example, so I went with the current circumstance to relate to what you are talking about. Yeah, it’s crazy that anyone would speak from their own point of view and use their opinion...

I thought Hagg didn’t file for arbitration. Was he even eligible to file this year?

You have to take the signing bonus out. His base salary was $832,500.

I don’t have a problem with any of this but the reality is, when I have to listen to “If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, we never missed Schenn this season” for an entire year. Very arrogant and bold words. Take your Medicine. Hextall wanted Schenn’s production wasn’t replace. G and Jake called JvR to convince him to come back. Hextall made the rest happen.

You really wanna get into high and mighty?

Sure, let's start with what YOUR definition is for "replacing production".

Baby steps.

Yeah, I’ll continue to wait on that example you haven’t give.

By the way, are you all still upset at JR for his comments about Steve Mason. You guys never gave me a response and were pretty upset about his opinions a couple years ago.

At the end of the day, we lost Schenn and the goals he would have scored last year, but we added 2 very solid looking prospects from that trade. Now we went out and signed someone who can help contribute more goals, and we still have those very good looking prospects. I've got nothing against Schenn, and I would have gladly taken his offensive production last year, but moving forward I do think we are in a better spot because of that trade.
