It depends on how it's prepared. But I'd say it's usually a wrap, not a sandwich.

After some more RFAs getting signed, I realized something amazing. Here are the teams around the Flyers in estimated salary cap and the RFAs they have to sign:

BUF (Reinhart)
CAR
VGK (Karlsson, Theodore)
PHI (Hagg)
COL (Nemneth)
TOR (Nylander)
OTT (Stone, Ceci)
NYR (Spooner, Hayes, Skjei)
NJ (Woods, Santini)

Out of all those teams, probably only NJ and CAR, maybe COL) will be below the Flyers. Think about that, a pretty deep team with quite a few expensive players and still bottom 5 of the league in salary. Obviously many things can change until the season or during, but that is simply amazing. Even when you factor in the young guys they have to sign next year, they are still in amazing position.

It matters if you are whining about people still talking about it.

I think were looking at two years, 4.5M total and a 2.25 AAV.

Salary breakdown is 2M for 18/19, 2.5M for 19/20.
