Not sure anyone can fully argue either side of the Schenn trade today...it all...ALL...depends on what the Flyers did with the draft picks after the trade...it will play out like the Richards and Carter deals did...time will tell.....then perhaps there will be a healthy debate....I’m sure St.louis is happy with the trade and I’m sure the Flyers are as well.
I liked Schenn and was a bit surprised of the trade but after the Flyers got to the # 2 pick in last years draft it was apparent that Schenn could be expendable. We’ll see.

Well said and I agree totally. My axe to grind is as a big Flyers fan I loved Schenn and hated to see him go. Then to top it off many of the Flyer faithful basically said he was nobody and put him down. I defend Schenn with my life so to speak. In hindsight I am happy for Schenn because he got his chance and succeeded, unlike the gong show he was put through in Philly.

Screw the popcorn...

Take a look at Giroux at even strength for two years prior to last year. The guy was a lazy cull and only tried to come alive on the pp. Voracek was the best player for those two years and I would take him over Claude anyday of the week. STL is thrilled to have Schenn and all the negative comments are simply sour grapes, bullet infused.
