I do, I really do. He had a surprise year in St. Louis last year, I would love to hear what you think after year 2.
- Glak18

Can we hold you to this Glak18? Nobody replaced Schenn's team leading 17 pp goals after he left, 30 goals 70 points first year in STL, no reason he will not be as good or better. I watched half the Blues games last year and Schenn outplayed Tarasenko most of the time. Tarasenko was not himself last year for some reason. I could not believe Tarasenko skating around joking and smiling in a game they were getting blown out. I would have benched him for that kind of ethic.

Interesting. I think you are very wrong, but it is still interesting.

Simmonds has nothing to do with JVR. Flyers needed a LW. Simmonds is not a LW, we tried that before, didnt work same goes with Voracek.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Tell me why you shipped out JVR when you needed a lw the first time around. Edmonton and Philly both have the same management problems. Chiarelli traded Sequin out of Boston, and the league MVP last year Hall for a stay at home no name dman.

My point is if he was really that good he should have been playing by now in the NHL.

Would you care to take a guess how many players from Frost's draft year played more than the 9 game cup of coffee in the NHL this past season?

You're going to love this.

It's not going to be that hard to count.

You can keep your socks on.

Heck, you can even keep a hand on your mouse.

3.

Nico Hischier (81 games), Nolan Patrick (73 games), and Sebastian Aho (NYI, 22 games).

So, the Flyers have lost this trade, for all time, because they didn't magically pick a player who spent the full season in the NHL, when (and this is kind of key) no player remaining on the board played more than 22 games in the NHL. In fact, even including the cups of coffee, do you happen to know how many NHL games, total, were played by all 2017 draft picks still on the board when we took Frost?

26.

(Aside from Hischier and Patrick, all 2017 draft picks, even those who went before Frost, played a grand total of 65 NHL games.)

Do you begin to see how utterly unreasonable an argument it is to say that Hextall made a bad pick, because he didn't pick a player that didn't exist?

Sure if B Schenn can match or better his 28 goals and 70 points next year, I will be happy to add to my location "joegreif17 bested me, Brayden Schenn is better than I thought".

FYI:
Flyers Power Play
2017 PP% 20.7 (withOUT Schenn)
2016 PP% 19.5 (with Schenn)

I think they made it up and improved. Speaking of 17 PP goals for Schenn, didn't he only have 8 for St. Louis...why the huge decrease?

I am entitled to my opinion and I will tell you that Frost is no lock to be a star at the nhl level. Schenn is already there, young, physical, 70 points last year and works his butt off every shift. What more could you want, congrats STL for an amazing trade win. JR in Pittsburg, he also knows how to win, unlike your Coma Man.

If Schenn bombs out I will be the first to admit I was wrong. It is not unusual to be bested by joegreif17 so please add this to your notebook, haha I am teasing but highly unlikely Schenn drops off. I actually think STL is going to bounce back nicely this year, ROR will help but the key is getting JA back in the game. CH will be missed but JA is very likely to get his game back.

This I 100% disagree with. Schenn has always been a lazy player, can he be physical at times sure, but works his butt every shift no way.

Then you have the times I have experienced him in person, hung over back to back years at the Flyers Carnival as team staff are trying to shove bottled water down his throat. Hard working is not an adjective used for Brayden Schenn.

I have never seen any of this and until I do it did not happen. Ask STL fans if they think Schenn is lazy. If he ever appeared that way in a Flyers uniform it is because the coach kept moving him all around and there was never a clear cut position for him. He played all three lines and all three positions with regularity. A Carnival is not a hockey game and players are just human beings. Schenn

That was a big reason he was moved around a lot, inconsistencies and half assing it around the ice.

A Carnival fundraiser to raise money for cancer awareness that has family and children in attendance. Always a good idea to drink heavily prior to one of those events...

He was misused to say the least and it depressed him to the point of drinking alcohol. Seriously if what you stated is true about the Carnival it should have been dealt with by Hextall. You know something though, I partied with the Flyers one night in Vancouver, Kindrachuk and my buddy played in the WHL together and was lucky to get invited. The team did not drink water in case your wondering.

I do believe you are correct. I actually think that Panarin could very well end up a free agent signing with the NYR next July 01. Chicago could very well be in this as well.
- joegreif17

Panarin has made it known that he is looking to play with a longtime franchise located in a big city that also has big waters surrounding it within a close distance. That latter is what makes of Eklund's favorites, the Rangers be Panarin's own favorite likely landing spot should he reach free agency, with Boston probably being his second favorite. A Montreal or Chicago can't offer the Atlantic Ocean waters in contrast to those two other "Original Six" NHL franchises, with Panarin's apparent desire to be as close to the Blue waters of the Atlantic as possible.

His childhood dream has always been to live in a house underwater and misunderstood his agent when he was traded to Ohio. I guess the word 'Ocean' and 'Landfill' are similar in Russian.

Bozak is a third liner while ROR and Schenn make the 1C and 2C very exciting. No different than Hextall bringing back JVR when many of you fans think Simmonds is so wonderful, lol JVR just makes the team better just like ROR make the Blues better. Every team would love to have Schenn and I will always be choked that he got traded for a long shot midget.
- joegreif17

Hey old man your long shot midget was runner up mvp in the OHL and scored over 100 points...

Thanks for the compliment but that is not true. I will however give you my honest opinion on anything you want to know. The Meltzer page is history for me, even good honest hockey opinions get mocked and a whole load of mobsters just jump in. Those guys really should learn to think for themselves.
- joegreif17

I truly think you are the most ill informed hockey fan I've ever met. Your "opinions" are complete garbage and you use confuse the word fact for the random fever dreams you have on a daily basis.

Pretty simple answer: he was franking terrible. He had completely lost his game. He needed a change of scenery.

Same with Luke Schenn.

Heck yes, Toronto ended up winning this trade by a mile, but at the time, it was a very fair trade.

Sometimes you gamble and lose.

A good sign of a fair trade...the fans are laughing as they push the player off the plane.
