Leafs.
Because of the intangibles. - Arctic_AARDVARK
But we lost Polak and Komarov. That's a loss of almost 50% of our intangibles right there! We need Clarkson back! Wasn't he supposed to be full of intangibles? |

I feel the defense of the Lightning still gives them edge of over the Leafs currently. |

The hyperbole, unreal.
There are some points in there...
Johnsson > Komarov
Andersen faces tougher workload (because of weaker D)
Tavares with actually good wingers
... but he just creamed blue all over it. |

Ohhh man you really are living a dream over there in laffland hey bud? 2-4 100 point players, damn that would be impressive.
Nylander - 61 points
Marner - 69 points
Tavares - 86 points 4 friggen years ago
Matthews - 69 points
Those are their career highs. These kids have not even sniffed 70 points in a year and buddy has them pegged for 100+ points. Classic Leafs - Leichs

I think Tanner started off legit, whether people agreed or not. For the last year or so, he has been flat out trolling with his stupid statements. Even his arrogance is feigned.
It is tough to respect a blogger than feels the need to sink that low for hits - Aetherial
I have to disagree with you partly because I think he's been a clickbait artist for a lot longer than a year. Just when you think he can't get any worse he writes a blog about how Matthews has a legit chance to be a goal per game type player in the next year or so. He has lost the tiny bit of cred he had left and is nothing but a fanboy homer. |

I still think he's a troll's alt. Quoting Tanner kinda gave that away imo.
Not that it's crazy to think Toronto could finish ahead of Tampa, they definetely could. But saying it's so obvious and anyone not thinking the same thing are "haters" or "insane" is just completely silly. |

I want to see Dermott paired up with Ozhiganov. I know that they will probably play him in the AHL to start but I think he has the chops to come into the show straight away. - Snowman X
Just what is this opinion based upon?
Did you watch a lot of KHL games last year? |

I'm the only one brave enough to say it:
Toronto vs. Tampa games suck to watch.
Blue with white vs. white with blue.
The league should force the home team to wear neon yellow.
And go frank yourselves before criticizing my post - you all franking know you would buy one. |

When the Lightning had their alternate black jersey they wore them against the Leafs during home games.
I wonder what the Bolts 3rd jersey will look like this year. |

Lol, As long as the games have many rushes through center, so you get frequent glimpses of the logo at center ice to help keep who is blue/white & white/blue straight.

Sam Hitchcock: Who Is Better: Lightning or Maple Leafs? - Sam Hitchcock
Bolts hands down!!!! The only D from the maple leafs that would crack tampas lineup is Reilly. Really don't think Toronto improved as much as everyone thinks. They let JVR and his 40 goals walk for nothing, and added a terrific Centre to a crowded cast of Centres. Now can Kadri score 30 again with such a reduced role???? Tavares is great but I don't see their offense being greatly improved after losing a massive scoring winger in JVR. |

Tampa is the favorite. Sure Toronto has alot of fire power up the middle with Tavares but dont forget, JVR only had 1 goal less than Tavares.
Here is why Tampa is better.
Both franchise have plenty of scoring. But difference is Tampa has better defense and Goalie by considerable margin.
If you think Matthews and Tavares one of best tandoms, maybe those fans should go take a look at Stamkos and Kucherov and let me know if the stats tell you overwise.
Who is Toronto top 4 dman? let me know if it has anything remotely close to a Hedman, McDonaugh and Sergachev |

Both team look good on paper. Both teams could do damge. Leafs are still very unproven and do not warrant such high expectations yet. tampa has been cruising for many years now but the last 2 seasons have been disappointing. They need to prove it again.. I think both teams need another piece or 2 to become champs
And there will be 6 other teams that will be involved, maybe even 7 .If one of those teams dont even make the playoffs.... |
