Next question!

I wasn't asking you, it was a suggestion for today's argument, because it's apparently relevant to hockey-related discussions.

My friends and I have mapped it all out

There are three types of handheld eating things

Sandwiches, wraps, and dumplings

Open faced sandwiches are not sandwiches and are an abomination

- bulet13

So where do fries and wings fall under, in terms of the handheld eating things categories?

The question is how do the Flyers see NAK? If they see him as a "scorer" then he wont play on the 4th line. The Flyers have demonstrated time and again that they slot players in the line-up according to roles.

I would be perfectly fine with NAK playing on the 4th line as I welcome a skilled line-up over a defined role line-up.

- ggunky

Nak has gotten no pp time at LHV so I don't think they see his NHL future being that of a top 6 scoring forward. He plays a strong ES game and has been used some on the PK so I'd think he'd be a guy you start out as a 4th line forward playing 8-10 mins at ES and maybe a bit of PK as a rookie. Hopefully over time, he can develop into a guy who can play a 3rd line role at ES and take a regular shift on the PK. His skating decent, and though he's only 5'11, I've seen his weight listed in the 197-204 range so he's very solidly built and he's not afraid to work the dirty areas of the ice or mix it up.

This may be a tad unpopular, but I think I rather have Myers start and play the majority of the year in the AHL. Let him be “the guy” down there for the defense where he can play all situations with zero sheltering and zero Dave Hakstol treatment in the press box. If he can stay healthy and be our top dman, I think he could be an AHL Allstar and that could be a great confidence booster. Is that silly?

I would like to have Vecchione and NAK on the 4th line this year. So, maybe Hexy can demote Lehtera and Leier, or possibly trade Weal (less preferable imo).
- VladDrag

If both made it, my preference would be to just demote Weise and Leier, no one is going to either claim them or trade for them and keep Lehtera and Weal as the spare forwards. Lehtera has value because he can play both center and wing and can penalties in a pinch and Weal is nice reserve to have because he can fill at top 6 role for a short time if needed.

But in a way I am also not against having someone who plays with and edge. If he can play at the line and only cross it on occasion, then he can be an effective 4th line winger and PK guy.

Not silly at all, playing as the Phantoms #1 Dman at age 21 isn't going to hurt him in the slightest.

Just because Lehtera killed penalties last year does not mean he's any good at it, but I'm okay with the demotion of Weise and Leier.

True, but if you waive him for NAK, then you're making Weal your 4C, and I think they'd prefer him at wing in the lineup. Unless Vorobyov/Vecchione make the roster, barring any trades/FAs, I think Lehtera is your 4C to start the year.
- jmatchett383

Hexy keeps talking up Weal. Maybe he's a 3C candidate, where 3C really means centering a sheltered scoring line.

NAK could not stay out of the box at the ahl level all year last year. Undersized and penalty prone arent very good bottom 6 traits
- Just5

He's not undersized, he's 204 pounds. Some would call that, "heavy". He's also a good skater.

He had the suspensions and needs to be a bit more careful about the way he hits, but 86 PIM in 72 games isn't a crazy total. As for undersized, he has a thick frame. Not an issue in that regard. Needs a little more consistency in his game, though. His playoff run could have been better in particular.

Wings are dumplings

Fries aren't one of those 3

Sorry that doesn't cover all hand held eating things. It covers meat and starch combos

I want him to play 70+ regular season games in 18-19, and I don't mind whether they are AHL or NHL games.

Hey Bill, what would your lines look like to start the season at this point in time (disregarding what roster moves would have to be made)?

This is easy. Wrap.

Sandwiches have two pieces of starch that don't touch

A wrap has one open side and the rest is an starch

A dumpling is a something that is completely covered by a starch (so yes a burrito is a dumpling)

So why would wings be a dumpling?
