PSA: People need to start climbing aboard the Alex Turcotte-train. He's going to destroy the U18 circuit w the Program and be the 2nd best C available next June
Elite speed, hands, and vision to go along with strong defensive ability. Needs to work on his release and strength.

Great blog Carol,
Personally I'm looking forward to a culture change with the Canucks, I think the passive approach by Henrik became a detrimental aspect that surrounded the team. I would like to see a little more push back by all players.
If it has to start with the new players brought in, well, I for one will be glad Benning overpaid for them. If they have the turn the other cheek mentality, I'll join the Benning bashing crowd. - Makita
I think with Gudbranson, Schaller, Beagle, Roussel, and Archibald being in the lineup will go go a long way towards defining a newer and tougher approach to Canucks hockey. While the Sedins had skill and off the charts hockey IQ, their lack of pushback was embarrassing at times.
This team will be a hell of a lot tougher this season which will help the younger skilled players to acclimate to the league. |

The only problem with this is that most of the guys you named aren’t really that “tough”. No one in the league is going to be scared of them... |

That’s a bold faced lie. Most players would be scared of Guddy and Archie. The majority of players wouldn’t want to tussle with Schaller and Roussel. This isn’t 1980 Vinty. Get with the times old man |

I don’t think the point is to have other players scared of them, I would like to see them play a physical game. Solid body checks, hit hard and make the opposition think twice, at least maybe a little tinsy winsy more than what the team is known for.
As fans we might as well hope for something, it’s going to be a tough year. |

#Canucks 2018 draft pick Toni Utunen had two solid games for Team Finland at the U20 tournament. The smart defenseman made calculated decisions with the puck and played a reliable game. |

They're stealth tanking. I mean, not the Gym Manager who would never have a real plan except constant incoherent rambling, as this is all just a vanity project for that empty suit, but I think Eddie Munster at least has some sense of how team management works; Not a ton, but enough. Or maybe Ryan Johnson can stage a coup d'etat - send the Gym Manager back to his photo-ops and bike races, make Eddie Munster AGM again - and steer the ship out of troubled waters.
Well, a girl can dream. |

The Canucks should be much more fun to watch this year. They should be tougher , younger faster.
They may finish bottom five and that is fine . It will help us get a top 6 center even though I believe EP will be that guy in 2-3 years. I have them improving four spots from last year. |

Just had a chat with Sutter here at the pro camps and he seems pretty excited on taking a larger/leadership type role. Optimistic but really what's he gonna say? lol
Sticking with my original prediction that we finish 21-25. |

I expect big things from him this year (sorry Lefty). Edler too. I think we dumped a lot of dead weight last year .
I am still concerned about Loui . I hope this is a make or break year for him.
