Why would I be here to rub salt in the wound of Linden leaving? Surely that doesn't upset you guys. He was bloody awful. It's honestly a good day for you. If you hire a proper management team, you're laughing.
I don't think Leafs fans would've been upset when Nucks fans came in the day Nonuts was fired. - walshyleafsfan

Watch out for words put into your mouth.
Cue the UFA list of nobodies not helping us but yet held up our tanking... |

The next few moves JB makes will really tell the story in terms of what direction ownership wants to go. I really hope they're not going to slow the rebuild when it's so close to finally showing it's first results |

Why is everything a Nucks vs Leafs thing with you? You don't take a chance on Burmistrov unless you truly lack talent evaluation abilities. You pick him up, play the poop out of him in manipulated or sheltered situations and you hope someone is stupid enough to offer you a 3rd pick for him. Same with Gagner .
For the Virtanen pick, let's not get into the for all our sakes. I just think it was a missed pick is all. And I can guarantee your draft pick will still be with you in two years - walshyleafsfan
At the time our roster structure didn’t allow it. Now though you could be right since the Sedins have retired. |

I'm not assuming anything, in terms of any future trades, which guys stick in the NHL to start the year, etc. I think we will see what FA wants from JB fairly quick.
For all we know that could be anywhere from pushing for playoffs to selling off every expendable asset |

As I pointed out the other day it is not me and a Leaf thing or me and a Flames thing so get over yourself.
How many Hab Oilers fans come in here or TB pr any other team? They don't come here so I don't discuss their teams.
The Leafs have been the armpit of the NHL for a decade and now after two years they are Gods gift to hockey. I got news for you they won't win the cup this year or next. - VANTEL
I 100% agree. And I've never said they would. In fact, I've never said the Leafs are doing anything this way or that better than any other team, in the Nucks threads.
This is all your doing. You read any conversation in these threads and low and behold you relate and compare things to the Leafs without fail. It's bizarre, because i know how much the Leafs coverage bothers you.
I was just talking about rebuilds and the general idea and constraints/parameters of which a rebuild generally takes. Codes seemed of the same (ish) opinion.
Then you compared it to the Leafs. Why? I don't know. |

The fact is there has to be trades . I would hope Edler and Tanev stick to TDL but I wouldn't cry if they were gone.

Rebuild comparisons are stupid to no end.
Each team has different circumstances.
Its all about building a team or retooling when needed. Teardowns are easier said than done & in the Leafs case decades of huge unearned profits were available. Good on them to seemingly be on the right path but there’s a long road ahead yet. Getting out of the division is PRIORITY #1. That goes for every team in any division. |

Pronger's a piece of poop who has accomplished nothing post career, at least Trevor is a nice guy.
There has been talk of Bob Nicolson in the past but I'm not sure he would leave the Oilers, I hope they bring in someone like that.

COMPETE
WHO said PO’s every year? Just you.
Compete means not be door mats & allow the team to be built from drafting. Stop gaps are not in the way nor were. LE was most likely FA dreaming it was an instant panacea. Bottom 5 the past years was going to happen. Not easy to out suck those teams that came in last & the lottery guarantees nothing if you’d payed attention. We still draft well & time is on our side & the latest UFA signings are not stopping prospects making the team nor anchors on the cap in any which way. - Nighthawk
The jury is still out on this, although it should start showing one way or another soon. |

Canuck won't trade the future - VANTEL
Yeah, I'm fairly confident they won't do anything crazy, but there are different scenarios that could play out. Edler could be traded right away, or we could see Goldobin shipped out for a draft pick, or one of our goalies moved to make room for Demko ASAP, or we could go several months with little to no movement. Lots of possibilities. |

That's bull .
First off I don't mind you chiming in at all but you fired the first shot asking why do they sign bad UFAs and draft Jake . I am pointing out your team was in the sh1tter for a decade leading the way in bad signings and bad management. This success that you are having is just very recent so for me taking rebuild advice from a Leaf fan is on par with getting financial advice from a wino on skid row

I just hope whoever is hired has no past connection to this team in any way. |
