I fully endorse this message 👍👍 |

Farhan seems to think Trev wanted the rebuild done properly and wasn't willing to put his name on what was happening. - VANTEL
Trevors looking over at Toronto and going "Hmmm, Should have done it that way"
So, the crossroads today are, Do you start over and push back really competing another 3-4 years?, or plough ahead as is and probably top out as a mid cardish type team?
Either way, he looks bad so he split now

Burdened with an aging team of NMC/NTC’s. Leafs are not a factor & done nothing to date that says otherwise. Win AM is not genius. Whining about PO format is funny. What is start over? We are at the beginning already geez 😂😂

COMPETE
WHO said PO’s every year? Just you.
Compete means not be door mats & allow the team to be built from drafting. Stop gaps are not in the way nor were. LE was most likely FA dreaming it was an instant panacea. Bottom 5 the past years was going to happen. Not easy to out suck those teams that came in last & the lottery guarantees nothing if you’d payed attention. We still draft well & time is on our side & the latest UFA signings are not stopping prospects making the team nor anchors on the cap in any which way. - Nighthawk
All i could picture while reading this is the slow motion twirling of colorful pom poms in regards to your excuse for the free agent signings. Burmistrov, gagner, del zotto, megna, skille, they all made sure we werent a "door matt" didnt they. And its hard to "allow the team to be built with drafting" when several of those "stop gaps" were literally acquired with picks...

To be fair, the Canucks have been door mats. Worst team in the league over the last three years.
Drafting has been ok. Some hits, some misses, like every team in the league. Just not enough draft picks.
Drafting isn't an exact science as I'm sure you're well aware. That's why you need as many draft picks as possible, to increase your chances. If you miss on a pick (Virtanen) you have a chance to make up for it ( Boeser). The management (or owner) seem reluctant to really embrace a full rebuild. Kind of going half way. That puts more pressure on hitting every draft pick which no GM or scouting staff in the league can do.
While being door mats for the previous 3 years, you could've/should've come out on the other side with more than Pettersson and Hughes (obviously neither have played yet but should be good).
Why sign Garner, Del Zotto, Burmistrov and Weird Cock if you aren't gonna play em and flip em? |

Truth be told, the fanbases are very similar. Everything I've read over the last while here, mimics the Leafs boards from 2010-2015 ish |

This is crap
You take chances on guys like Butmistrov Weirchioch because if they turn out and they only costed you a million then you come out looking like a genius . Low risk high reward. Leafs are the master of trying to shop at the five and dime stores for a bargain and overpaying free agents that didn't turn out.
What is wrong with the Virtanen pick ? He has been improving every year and unlike your draft pick of the same year , ours may still be with us after two more years. |

Despite your logic, the fact that you are here the same night a management person leaves, questions why you are truly here. To try and rub salt, or just coincidence that you picked tonight to come discuss hockey in here lol |

I’m no Leaf fan thats for sure. Yes the fan bases are similar but Leaf fans are more knowledgable than most of ours i hate to say. Biggest issue is EST fans are generally clueless of whats going on in 1/2 of the NHL. Reading & not watching is the issue. |

Why would I be here to rub salt in the wound of Linden leaving? Surely that doesn't upset you guys. He was bloody awful. It's honestly a good day for you. If you hire a proper management team, you're laughing.
I don't think Leafs fans would've been upset when Nucks fans came in the day Nonuts was fired. |

Why is everything a Nucks vs Leafs thing with you? You don't take a chance on Burmistrov unless you truly lack talent evaluation abilities. You pick him up, play the poop out of him in manipulated or sheltered situations and you hope someone is stupid enough to offer you a 3rd pick for him. Same with Gagner .
For the Virtanen pick, let's not get into the for all our sakes. I just think it was a missed pick is all. And I can guarantee your draft pick will still be with you in two years |

IMO each season has 15 door matts.
Who is out of the PO’s running before Xmas are the usual same perennial crap teams with maybe 1 team trying to out suck them all. 1oa is no guarantee. |

As I pointed out the other day it is not me and a Leaf thing or me and a Flames thing so get over yourself.
How many Hab Oilers fans come in here or TB pr any other team? They don't come here so I don't discuss their teams.
The Leafs have been the armpit of the NHL for a decade and now after two years they are Gods gift to hockey. I got news for you they won't win the cup this year or next. |
