Correct. But that doesn't mean Dermott wasn't a good pick. Him or Carlo would've been more use to the franchise than Aho or Konecny right. The Leafs much maligned defense would be even worse without Dermott.

Had he picked a player that didn't make the NHL at that pick, then yes, that was a bad pick.

As for Nonis getting Luongo was a good trade but it ends there. MG took over & inherited talent to leave it in a mess. Since FA has been the owner he’s the common denominator of where we were & where we are. He is the weak link.
