I’m SO happy the Yotes took Strome over Marner....

I know he’s still young, but the kid isn’t gonna pan out. Even when he was racking up points in Junior, you could see that his game wouldn’t translate to the NHL level

I predict 14 goals and 19 assists in his rookie season

Ya...that's an interesting one. As I mentioned in my post-draft. he's one of the highest forwards ever selected at an under a PPG in the CHL in decades. I get it, but it's still a very bold move and shows how desperate teams are for centre's.

Outside of Rasmussen, Hronek, and Cholowski yeah. 2018 was a great draft. 8-10 for them will be very meh prospects. Also depends on if you are going to consider Sulak a prospect.

Yeah I can basically pencil in your top 10. Curious to see how you rank them and project them potential wise.

He scored at over a 2pts/60 rate last year while leading the Coyotes in that statistic. (Short sample size, but he scored 9 points in his last ten games) . He's got a better chance of being a hall of famer than he does a bust.

We’ll see, man. Clearly, Yotes mgmt hasn’t seen enough to keep him up with the big club so far. Not many hall of famers spend their first three years in the minors...

Martin St.Louis went undrafted and was on waivers a couple of times though! I don't think Strome will be that good, but he's going to be a really good player.

If we all stopped replying to Tanner or commenting on his blogs, I just wonder how much better off we would be.

Bo horvat was even lower PPG.
Bo is actually used as a comparable for Hayton.

Also Zacha was below PPG at 6th overall in 2015

Haha....yeah, St Louis was the guy I thought of too, when I was making that argument...

To be honest, there’s not much logic behind my hypothesis. I just have a feeling. It’s partly the way he skates, and I’m sure a piece of it is the fact that he’s a Strome, which isn’t really fair. But I do think he’ll have a disappointing career

He actually only scored 8 points in his last 10 games and 4 of those points came against the Flames, Sabres, Nucks, and Hurricanes, 3 apples against the Blues, another team that missed the playoffs, and 1 point against a playoff team for a total of 8 points.
So based on that information, and obviously you fabricating an additional point to make it look better, you think he will be a hall of famer???

The quality of teams does not really matter. All teams in the NHL are good.
