If it's sold at a gas station with the rest of the chocolate items it's a chocolate bar variation in shape is allowed. Besides chocolate disc with fluted edges is too niche for its own category. PS LEAFS |

it's clear you don't understand sample size - plantheparade
What's clear is that the teams that have won the Stanley Cup since 1992 have had their goalies face fewer than 2,000 shots.
Part of that is team defense and reducing chances on net. Part of that is keeping their goalie fresh for the playoffs. In instances like Tim Thomas, when he was facing 31 shots per game average, he only played 57 games.
Running Andersen into the ground again this year is making the same mistake they made last year. He played like poop down the stretch and he was hit and miss in the playoffs, usually more miss than hit looking at his numbers.
I don't really care who the back-up is individually. What I do care about is the back-up being able to play 25-30 games effectively so Andersen doesn't have to face the same ridiculous workload he had to face last year. |

Jiri Crha faced that many by Christmas lol...poor guy...for sure a candidate for PTSD. I'm gonna search him up to see how he actually fared. I just remember what seemed like an onslaught of shots night after night. |

It's basic hockey; you want to give up as few shots as possible. But, with the defense being pretty much the same, the odds the defense will improve drastically aren't good. So, if you're going to rely on the goalie to stand on his head every game, the least you could do is make sure he has a back-up to play the back-to-back games and the poopty teams so you can save him for when the games matter. |

I had edited my post for further explanation.
my point is that # of shots are irrelevant - now seems you understand this to some extent, so stop spitting out the bs argument please.
a goalie playing all 82 games for his team during the regular season with 20shots/game is expected to be more worn out at end of season than a goalie playing 55 games with 30shots/games against.
teams that give up lots of shots against tend to not win SC - nothing to do per se with the goalie getting tired of facing more shots per game. |
