2012 is one of the best drafts of all time in terms of insanity.
1. Yakupov - Basically should have won the Calder then gets destroyed and falls apart
2. Murray - One of the only 18 year olds to ever play in the WC's and is injured constantly and is a 4-5 defenseman
3. Galchenyuk - Scores 30...blamed for everything and falls apart
4. Reinhart - Lol at the time and lol now
5. Rielly - Injured during his draft year and has developed into a 2/3 depending on your view
6. Lindholm - Ranked in the 20's, turned out to be arguably the best overall player in the draft
7. Dumba - Has holes, but is thriving behind Suter
8. Pouliot - Ranked in the 20's, turned out to be arguably the worst selection in the draft (due to the nature of the trade)
9. Trouba - Fair enough
10. Koekkoek - Same sound you think of when you remember he was picked 10th - AdamFrench
Galchenyuk will bounce back in Arizona, I just know this to be true. |

Burke had Rielly ranked number one. At least that's what he said.
Maybe he was telling the truth. |

2013 was quite the draft.
Plenty of quality players in there.
I had Jones at #1, went insane when he dropped to #4. - Scabeh
I had Frederik Gauthier at #1. We managed to take him at #23. |

Brian was done at that point, no? Wasn't Gauthier Nonis' brain child? |

yes. They will trade Parayko, Taraseko, St. Louis First in 2019, Ottawa's 2019 first and an additional 2nd if Karlsson re-signs, for Karlsson and Ryan.

I think this has nothing to do with trade offers. Karlsson has made it known he would like to stay. But, there is no option for this if Melnyk stays on as owner. I think (a guess) that both groups trying to buy the team have made it known they would prefer for Karlsson to stay and Melnyk is trying to preserve that option.

Only in the same definition that Nonis is bereft of Nylander during his time. |

All I can say is thank god we finally fixed our management and got a proper plan to follow in place. |

With the Blues just re-signing Edmundson, they are pretty much right at the cap now. Still have an RFA left to sign in Schmaltz.
Does St. Louis make a trade to free up some space? - PatC80
Schmaltz for a prospect like Tamishov that can be waiver exempt |

Schmaltz is an RHD, which is good, but he's hasn't proven anything. |

So
It adds a legit RHD. In a weak right side the more the merrier |

Maybe he was just picking up the puck so the Zamboni wouldn't run it over and break.
Zamboni repair is expensive, and Karlsson loves the Senators that much. |

I was such a poignant moment. So touching, the fifth musketeer sending a clear and final message to the organization
