Although I tend to think 3 more years, that's on you Julio, the NFL needs to evaluate contacts as a whole. I team says, this guy is not worth $10m per and can cut him, where the player has little leverage. The interesting thing is a player signs a 5 year deal and if he over achieves, he is stuck, if he under achieves he gets cut.

As I said before about the NHL, more contacts need to be based off performance.

This way it pushes the player to be the best all the time. I guess it would be "trouble" because no WR would want to play with bottom caliber QB's. But maybe the incentive is if they are 40%of receiving yards or something like that, to make them want to sign with bottom QB's. Lot to think about though.

You'd have to do away with the cap then.

the avengers got their a$$ beat by the lizard in the comic books

some topics are over your head

if people want to talk about eating healthy and constantly having the runs, they should talk to you

if people want an understanding on the big lizard, you are probably the last person they should talk to

just being honest

luke-warm take: Asplund, Olofsson and Nylander will raise each other's play.

You're forgetting wonder boy!

I like the thought though and agree. We will take more Swedes please. It's partially the reason why I'm not as down on Berglund as some others.

Football has a big problem. Each team has 22 starters and they ALL want to get paid. Teams used to be able to save money at certain positions but it's becoming increasingly more difficult. That's why QB is so important. Lock up THE most important position in sports and then scrimp and save wherever else you can because you will always have a chance to win.
- Khmylev

Yeah, O-Line and TE outside of LT used to make near the min unless they were Pro Bowlers. Interior D-Line guys didn't fare much better. Actually, everyone on defense except CBs and good LBs and DEs used to get the shaft.

Not down on Berglund
But he’s an obvious downgrade from O’Reilly

It’ll be interesting to see where we play him

If he’s LW2,
i could see him score around 20goals

If he’s the defensive 3C,
then he probably get more like 10-12goals

He had 17 in 58 games playing a defensive role last year.

Just saying.

And he played on the wing mostly
Not as much defensive responsibility

If Berglund can play a defensive 3C role for us (and be good at it),
and score 17 goals...
I’ll be happy with that

That works out to 24goals in a full season
I’d be thrilled with that

Oh yeah, he's no RoR, I just like an established vet from Sweden being on the team. He might become a good mentor, it seems he was well liked in the Blues room per reports.

I think you'll see a pretty even share between 2nd and 3rd lines this year as Berglund will get defensive responsibilities and Mitts will get o-zone starts. Still 10-12 seems more realistic. We'll see.

Most of what he says is probably a lie....in reality- lives in Lockport, has 5 kids, lives with his crackhead GF, has no job(this part is true). Comes to HB and can portray the life he has always dreamed of.

He'll still be in a defensive role here too with Mitts and Jack taking o-zone starts.

I still like the idea of playing him next to Mitts.

It's an option for sure, Mitts isn't a blazing skater either, so that might not be a bad match. Still, I think that they're going to try to keep Zemgus and E-Rod out of the middle...so unless Larry plays 3C, which I don't want, Bergy has to be on the dot.

So I agree, wouldn't mind that being tested, but our current situation may hinder the experiments.

Edit: May be more plausible the following season when Malone is up.

I think you give Mitts the best LW - Sheary

I also like Berglund in a 3C role. Perhaps Wilson on his left.

That leaves Erod for Eichel duty, which I honestly don't hate. Okposo would balance that line with some defensive responsibility and play the role of "puck in corner digger-outter"

So either Erod on the left, or Nylander shows up, Olofsson is a revelation, or Smith proves he can bury some NHL goals.

That would give Mitts Sheary and Reinhart to help him score

Again, I think that could work too. I forget about utility knife Wilson a lot it seems. Okposo needs to return to form. E-Rod and Eichel I've wanted for two years now. Good ideas.

Beyond that, guys like Asplund, Pu, Malone and Davidsson could very well be knocking on the door the following season...a log jam is coming. I love having options and, btw, have enjoyed the potential lineup posts. Keep em coming.

Dude, at least say what happened or link

She overdosed on heroin, guys.

Much to NO ONE'S surprise.

Either way, I'm not praying for a heroin addict. You either know not to (frank) with that stuff or you try it and you're hooked, call me harsh but this is why they need to stop wasting time on talent-less morons who grew up in proximity to the industry, who unfortunately, and for this they have my sympathies, are usually molested to some degree, often raped and sold as objects their whole life.
