Like most expected somebody or maybe a couple names gotta go. Tavares is making 11mil v the cap for 7-8 years. You have to think Mathews the actual franchise player gets 11mil per for 8, unless they smartly do a OV type deal end it to like 13-15 years.. knock AAV down to round 9.5-10mil.

Nylander probably in the 7mil range per once you get done with those 3 guys almost half the cap is tied up.

1, Well there are Jets fans a lot higher on Myers than me but I honestly see him as a third pair D on a good team. I wouldn’t pay him anymore than 4.5 on a 3 year deal
2. I think the jets are offering 6 - 7 on a long term deal and I think Trouba is asking for 7.5 - 8 but that is purely a guess on my part.

We roll with the D we have. Mgmt have their work cut out for them in resigning Mathews, Marner and Nylander...I think they are going to try and replicate what Pitsburg did, and their D at the time was OK.

You see how this seaon pans out with him, and I agree, you let him walk, he is not worth 6.5 +, at least on this team...or depending how we are in the standings, trade him at the deadline.
