Feds trust me, Sheary isn't that good. He's got some speed but lacks physical play and is easy to get off the puck. He's smart and will get to the pucks I'll give you that. - Barnaby36
He scores at an extremely good rate. |

Sheary 2017-18
Better 5v5 G60 than: Carter, Duchene, Nyquist, E. Kane, Athanasiou, Maroon, Kuznetsov, Barzal, Brassard, T. Johnson, Tkachuk, etc. (its a long list)
Better 5v5 P60 than: Saad, Silfverberg, Foligno, Rust, Eller, Hagelin, Oshie, E. Lindholm, Hornqvist, Henrique, etc. (another big list)
Go ahead and sell Sheary short because he had 2 consecutive playoff seasons where his shooting percentage was astronomically off from his career average. - Feds91Stammer
Anything per 60 is skewed when it comes to Sheary.
When he's hot, he plays a lot, but when he slumps or doesn't fit against a certain team his minutes get cut big-time.
Brandon Saad isn't getting demoted and/or benched when things aren't going his way, not to that degree. Sheary dropped to the 7 minute ES TOI mark at the end of his 6 week goalless streak. |

Sheahan is pure poop. To be fair, he did provide the best image of all time when he was arrested as a purple teletubby. - YzermanTheMan
I mean...we are talking about Sheary. |

My team was very very lucky to get him at that stage of the draft. Hopefully he pans out for us so we can see some entertaining hockey again. - sabreadvocate1
He's for real as far as skills and hockey IQ go. Real good. I hope he can keep up with the NHL intensity though. This kid would be great in the 80s. Strength plays a big role nowadays too. |

How many of Sheary goals were with Crosby? Now I know all those other players don't play on Sids wing. Saad that poor bastard is on Toews wing.
Hornqvist 70 29 20 49 (15 PP goals)
Sheary 79 18 12 30 (2 PP goals)
Rust 69 13 25 38 (2 PP goals)
Yes, I'd rather Horny & Rust as well. |

Obviously I love Matthews as a Leafs fan but other than him Bergeron would probably be my pick not just from the Bruins but the whole division. He's just a complete, pure player and he comes off like a good guy too. I hope Matthews learned from the experience of being beaten by him and the Bruins in the playoffs. |

We'd take him here I guess. Problem is the cap. Brassard + would have to go. |

Well yeah, of course. Who's disputing that? I'm a fan of Sheary, but it's not like I think he's some irreplaceable elite player, but if the Pens are going to move him or any player for that matter it shouldn't create a new weakness in the lineup.
Why would you be excited about Brass at wing? We go through this crap every single year. Over and over we see how the Pens' model succeeds with strength down the middle. Brass moving to wing now creates two scenarios: Sheahan at 3C with either Cullen or friggin Grant at 4C.
We had this stupid argument before last season and everyone was like "give it a chance," they don't need that depth down the middle if there's strength on the wings. We are just going to through this song and dance again.
Look, I have faith that Sprong will be a good player, but I don't know that yet. I think Simon is a solid player, but he's not half as good as Sheary and ZAR is honestly still a unknown at this point. - Rinosaur
Hey everyone, I just read an incredible profile on noah lyles over at Athletics Weekly. It highlights his major achievements, including his world championship victories, and gives insights into his training regimen and personal motivations.
