The Calgary inferiority complex to Edmonton is real. Not the city. Just in terms of hockey.

The battle of Alberta was such a big thing back in the 80's. Both teams so good but Edmonton almost always better. Teams hated coming to Alberta and it was dubbed visiting death Valley.

Even during the decade of darkness many Flames fans only measurement of success was based on being better than the Oilers.

And the whole thing about hockey not being popular anywhere in Florida is simply not true. The Panthers would have much better attendance of their stadium wasn't in the Everglades. Try walking around Tampa and tell me hockey is the 10th most popular sport in the state. I'm guessing you have only been to Orlando in Florida to get your jollies at Disney.

On behalf of Buffalo, their city looks like a dump, but they have very nice women there. If you visit the city the women are extremely friendly, I was told they don't see men that often.
