My question on contract value is if that player is a part of what helps the team given their role & production.

We all can agree LE & Hutton fail.
Tanev & Edler are good value.
Sven is solid value.
ELC’s are obviously great bargains.
BB will get paid off no doubt.
Recent 3 UFA signings are what they are & fill a need for $7.9m for a 10% cap hit. Leaving $71.5m or 90% to cover 20 players now or later.

Sutter Gagner EG MDZ are where we all probably agree come up short. Sutter in his role gets a pass from me. EG has lots to prove. Gagner & MDZ are stop gaps & not around next contract time or better yet traded for picks. After that a ton of work & expectations fall onto the prospects.
