2 @5.3 . Unless it is Liljegren I would let Arizona have it again. I am in no hurry to help out the Leafs - VANTEL
can Toronto add cash to the deal? that contract wasn't insured. Will FA buy it? |

I didnt get that but he does say uhhh way to much. - thundachunk
I can remember last season, near the start Boeser being interviewed. Same thing, and later in the year he had made a real effort to improve his public persona. Hopefully Troy listens to this interview so he can realize how he sounds to others.
I didnt hear the whole thing, but the radio guys comments didn't suggest he was cocky, more that he was relaxed, and was focused on his own improvement and not worried about things he couldnt control, like getting PP time, or O zone starts etc. |

Not worth it . It's a dog of a deal. Unless it's Liljegren and the first just say no. |

I really didn't like his answers on him being a team leader and will he change anything. Even his replies about him when asked if he was happy to be back had me thinking You Smug little pr1ck. That was my opinion |

Wonder if Edler would waive to go to TO for a year? |
|
|
|
It's a solid place-holder deal. It might have been better to get a third year, but at 2 yrs with this money allows flexibility for the team.
The Hughes signing, if/when, will tell the tale for others...hopefully The Gym Manager and Eddie Munster can get a deal done to move out a d-man first, but I'm not sure if these two can figure out how to get the pickle from the bottom of the jar without making a mess of things. - TheGatewaytoHell

I only caught the end, and what the guys (Sat & John?) had to say. Obviously they are not going to say publicly that the guest they just had on was a smug wiener... |

As much as I have hated Edler over the years I think him and Sutter are the new team leaders and will be here for a while.
I heard Cam Robinson on the radio yesterday . He thinks the second line will start with Loui Sutter and EP this year. That is the scenario I thought of too. I can see that for a while.
Yesterday I wrote a projection of my future lineup that got slack from many but I do think the start of next year will be conservative and sheltering. |

Meh, there are teams who get made fun of for their lack of D right here in this space who have as good or better players than this. If Woo makes it as a solid 3rd pairing guy they will be lucky. By the time Hughes is making an impact I sure hope Gudbranson is gone, and in all probability, Tryamkin will never make an impact in the NHL. But yeah, the future's so bright I gotta wear shades. |

Funny, because I have always (well, for the last few seasons) seen Edler as the teams best option on D, but now that the twins are gone I would like to see him have a chance to win, and capitalize on his value as a solid #2-#3 guy. |

Goldy said Tryamkin may return in a few years doesn't give me high expectations and if we could get something for his contract then do it.
I am hoping for a better year from Eric G but not counting on it.
I see in 4 years the Canucks will have Hughes Woo Edler and OJ so I am not worried we have time to improve it.

I too have seen him as the best but I hated the (frank)er
Shows you how bad our D was.
I am finally coming around on him now as he doesn't seem as much of an airhead that he was before. He is finally stepping into the leadership role. |

I didn't actually say that, although I agreed with them, Benning is the one who said they need to improve their defence. Just wondering why no trades, even lateral ones to mix things up. |

There haven’t been any trades because teams don’t want a bottom feeders scraps. The only trade they can make is tanev and then where will our d be? No quick fix |

Half a summer left they will probably try to move Hutton. This is MDZ last year of contract so he will be moved at TDL in comes OJ . It is working out perfectly.
