Agreed she just kind of floated away as a character. The play quest was hilarious. I (frank)ed it up and Priscilla wasn't happy

Honestly I thought HoS had a better main quest than the main game in a vacuum. I loved O'Dimm's character. You'll have a ton of fun. It's just Geralt though, no Yen or Ciri or anyone else at all, so of course I'd rather play the main game when it comes down to it. More immersive.

I love how they took a nothing character from the very beginning that most people probably forgot and turned him into maybe the darkest, most powerful character in the game. You can actually see him at different points in main game I read.

I would actually go back and re-watch a lot of the cinematics or replay parts after I played the quests. It was so good I wanted to experience it again. I’m weird like that.

Yes. I remember he talked about being the Man of Mirrors. And knew who Geralt and Yen were and led you onto her path. He definitely gave off creepy vibes. He also disappeared right after talking to him. But to go that long for the reveal is cool.

I also knew about him when I played that part so I knew more than first timers.

You can’t just DIVE in though. Like I recommend reading up on some of the backstory on various sites. Just google summaries of the books. Or use the wiki. I think it’s important to understand before. They do a good job to people just coming in, but it makes it a better experience. Or don’t lol.

Not yet. I’ve really gotten sidetracked the last 3-4 months not playing it. I have the GoTY edition, so I have them all. Blood and Wine looks sick. Vampires in a sort of medieval France. What’s not to dig? Every time the BoW main menu page comes on, I will listen to the theme music. It’s fantastic atmosphere.

I’ll get you some links I read first. I also played the games though. Witcher 3 is pretty divorced from 1/2 actually. It really is more focused on the book lore (not so easily summarized) and only a couple main things from the games that are easily summarized.

Just me but I’d like to see him excel at something. That’s kind of just a personal preference but I can’t think of anything he does really well, you know?

Don’t hate him but he’s pretty forgettable.

tbh you don't lose much if you haven't played TW1 or 2. Story has little to do with other games other than you would have interacted with some of the characters *shrugs*
