tbh you don't lose much if you haven't played TW1 or 2. Story has little to do with other games other than you would have interacted with some of the characters *shrugs*

Doesn't take away from anything imo

Re-read my post, sir. I said that TW1 and 2 are pretty easily summarized relating to the game -- mostly about Geralt's amnesia and the end of TW2 -- and that it doesn't have much to do with it. I said that TW3 is basically a direct continuation of the books' plot, so it's more dependent on that lore and background info. Not the games. I was going to give him the book deets so he doesn't go in cold to that. I think it enriches the game.

Okay, Mordy, I would save this to read first, as it's a good general summary of the world and fun to read:

1) https://kotaku.com/a-begi...of-the-witcher-1704506152

Then I would read this for a few more book specifics:

2) https://steamcommunity.co...filedetails/?id=743933239

And if you want more information during the course of reading, obviously consult the Witcher wiki which is important (careful for game spoilers):

3) http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Yen

I don't think the summaries of the books are helpful there, some of the short stories are better (Last Wish is pretty important), but if you go on a Wiki wild goose chase to the individual pages of characters or groups or whatever, they're way more detailed summaries by proxy. Obviously you can google anything that is confusing or needs more detail. But I think this is a solid pre-game prep. Maybe you'll spend a few hours reading up, but it'll make investing hundreds of hours more worthwhile.

Oh it's so frustrating. Maybe he just can't put it together consecutively for long enough... I really dont know. But you are spot on about him not excelling at anything. But he somehow stayed productive for his very sheltered role with some sorry line mates. So I still have hope for him.

It's this guy's first day in this hellscape, and he comes in like a wrecking ball to ruin 2 glorious pages of nonstop Witcher talk. With a Scott Laughton post. Scott Laughton. I can't even. My evens cannot. Somebody hold me back.

I think we will likely see a deal for a 3c but it won’t be until after preseason. Somewhere around the league a rookie is going to step up and surplant a vet. When that happens we will get someone hopefully pennies on the dollar.

Hopefully this doesn't come off too condescending, but in all seriousness if it was that easy to do...wouldn't Hextall do that in a heartbeat? Might as well throw Neurvirth and Weise in there too and get a healthy goaltender.

I know most sports fans like to just "trade these players and get what you need", but I like to hear exactly who Weal and Laughton is going to realistically get to fill the 3C. Remember other teams have to want what the Flyers don't want anymore to give what the Flyers want.

Come on now...People on an online hockey forum clearly know how easy it is and always come up with ideas that the pros dont think about. =)

excuse me we're having an intellectual conversation here

I'm sorry. I'm not intellectually competent in this subject. Carry on!
