I have so many words I cannot express. I played 2 and 3 and read up on the lore for hours before playing. Triss is like the girl next door character. She’s cool but our relationship was also based on LIES. In the books she put a luv spell on Geralt to trick him. Yen didn’t like that. And in the games she doesn’t tell him about Yen when he’s suffering amnesia after escaping the Hunt. Yen didn’t like that. She’s kind of a selfish female dog tbh. Yen is more mature, sophisticated, and undoubtedly Geralt’s tru luv. How anyone can choose Triss is mind boggling, even if they portray her character well in 3. Gotta throw a shoutout to Keira Metz too. God the characters and stories and quests are so detailed and unique and multifaceted in that game. Holy (frank).

I wish you had Xbox then we could just drool over Yen and the Witcher. I know you’d join my party unlike that haughty Mordecai. #thatguy

I mean like PlayStation is infinitely better, so I wish I just played that instead but all my friends and gaming communities are on Xbox, so I’m (frank)ed that way.

Yen is amazing — I mean every character in the game is (let’s give our boi Dandelion a shout-out among others) — because she’s not a stereotype. It’s not just about her obviously perfect magic looks (though good lord she’s a goddess incarnated in pixels), but her voice actress and her personality and her independent streak. She wears the pants, not Geralt, unlike with Triss. People who haven’t played the Witcher don’t understand how in depth and personal these characters and their relationships are. It’s the finest character work in gaming.

Good thing no one is here on weekend nights and it’s just us bois’s. People — I use that term loosely — might lose what little respect they had for us. And I say those people don’t deserve our respect! Let alone Yen’s!

The Baron quest line is probably one of the best in gaming from a morally complex standpoint. The entire Velen main chain with the Baron and Ladies of the Wood. It’s not even gaming. Remember when Priscilla got attacked suddenly after you fixed up Dandy’s tavern? Right after the hilarious Crimson Avenger quest (gotta mention the play one too)? And it led you down the whole serial killer quest? That was incredible and a tonally shifting gut punch. I wish they actually tied it up better with Priscilla.

yeah guys remember that time i spent 6 hours grinding the same strike on Destiny to get an auto rifle that i used twice hahah same lol!

Remember when Priscilla got attacked suddenly after you fixed up Dandy’s tavern? Right after the hilarious Crimson Avenger quest (gotta mention the play one too)? Agreed she just kind of floated away as a character. The play quest was hilarious. I (frank)ed it up and Priscilla wasn't happy

Honestly I thought HoS had a better main quest than the main game in a vacuum. I loved O'Dimm's character. You'll have a ton of fun. It's just Geralt though, no Yen or Ciri or anyone else at all, so of course I'd rather play the main game when it comes down to it. More immersive.

I would actually go back and re-watch a lot of the cinematics or replay parts after I played the quests. It was so good I wanted to experience it again. I’m weird like that.
