Dude I just don't understand what you're saying, because to me, your sentence doesn't make sense.

Off topic, but on NHL.com there is an article regarding Kotkaniemi and how he will likely start the year with the Habs..
Thoughts? |

I have no idea.... we'll see how he does at camp.
I thought the most likely scenario was him going back to Finland for a year.... the young man JUST turned 18 after all... let him grow a little first before putting him in a first line role.
But if he comes to camp and looks ready... why the hell not? |

Leafs have the D in their system. They have the forwards already.
Sit back, relax, and let the magic unfold.
People think of defencemen as the only reason teams don't concede goals. That's untrue imo. If you have your whole team buying in to the defensive system, you don't need these so called "top pairing defensemen", as proved by Pittsburgh, Vegas, Washington etc. |

" that the Rocket did actually do anything at all when the city rioted"
Do you mean he did do something or didn't?

apologies - my bad... should have written "that the Rocket did NOT actually do anything at all"...
I blame fat fingers.

All good.
And yes I know, aside from punching a referee (who was holding him while he was getting punched by another player) and being suspended at the time, he didn't do anything in the riot.
Oh and he did go on the radio and ask for people to calm the (frank) down the next morning. |

You are younger than I,.... and we are millionaires in time my friend. And about being a Habs fan - nobody's perfect. Actually pretty cool to watch old games. - winsix
I have a DVD box set of "HABS GREATEST GAMES OF ALL TIME".
Never (frank)ing touched the thing since I got it.
And having two kids (4 and 1 year old) pretty much takes most of my free time. |

I guess I'm lucky - my son is 14 - we can now play a round of golf together and even though he can out drive me, I can generally win with the short game. Have enough time to work, play golf twice a week, take courses and watch the odd thing on the idiot tube including hockey. |

While I'm enjoying spending time with my kids, sometimes I'm looking forward to them being a little more independant.
Brought my 4 year old son (was 3 at the time) to the Jays preseason game in Montreal... he liked it but by the 7th inning, he wanted to GTFO. |

you should consider the wanting to get out of a baseball game after the 7th inning as a blessing.... baseball is boring.
wait til he's playing baseball/softball himself... you'll have to journal your inner most feelings watching those riveting games
PS Half way through the first year of my two boys playing t-ball - I think my wife was close to suicide.... she hated the standing around the kids, and she couldn't handle the parents. |

Good times - sporting events, even movies are not a sure thing until about age 7 or 8. I remember taking my son to a movie - it was a Batman movie he wanted to see - and he got so scared in the first scene that we had to leave 10 min into the movie. - winsix
yup... exactly the same happened to me.
you are going to love this....
so my two boys were taking a passing interest around age 9-12 in golf... I was playing somewhat regularly at the time, and their grandfather an avid golfer was coming for a visit.
so we set up several visits to the driving range and practice range to get them ready... I didn't want to take them on a course without some prep. They did really well - we went about 4-5 times over a two week period before granddad's visit.
off we go to a mid-range par 4 course where I thought I could manage what I thought would be their inaccuracy and perhaps boredom.
get up on the first tee - granddad hits, fine, no issue (there's a four some in front of us) Granddad is sure he won't hit it that far. 11 year old son gets up and hits it nice and straight maybe 110-120 yards on the fairway. 9 year old gets up, who's a bit of a wild child and who has never hit a ball at the driving range more than 100 or 110 yards. 3 wood one hopper bounces off the ass of the guy in the group ahead of us... that guy was on the fringe around the green 200 yards from the t box.
Needless to say we were all shocked, and the Marshal was laughing his ass off.
The guy in the group ahead of us assume it was me who had hit him. |

If the right deal comes along you do it in the Leafs case
I think they would be fine if they didnt make a deal...but I think Dubas will keep shopping for one as long as he is a GM here, but he won't get desperate like Charelli and (frank) up the team.
If they can get Trouba for a couple high picks, Hainsey and another piece....I would do it. |
