Gretzky played over 200 games here. He was also elite during that span. I think he is eligible.

Tom Poti and Wade Redden come to mind. Throw Drury and Gomez into that mix too.

that was a really good team, they could have beaten Buffalo, some bad luck, then Ottawa and Anaheim, who knows

I would consider Dvorak dark years and he was a bright spot. Samuelsson I think pre-dates the dark years.
