Been enjoying the offseason mdw. But I’m getting the itch for some football and hockey now that the World Cup is over! |

Cool idea, Jan!
The first question that pops to mind is, does the format of placing a player in their actual role apply to goalies? In that, if we do just one team one of Hank or Richter is in and the other is out, because neither can be labelled as a backup.
If that's the case, I'd say that leans toward choosing to do 2 teams. |

I think I would prefer building two teams but, the years I like are from 1967-87
and then 1987 to the present
I don't like up until 1991 and then a new team from 1991 to the present because I'd put Leetch in both squads |

Why not a realistic NYR roster for after this season (2019-2020_.. People can use trades and FA signings that they would like to happen? |

As said, I am open to ideas. Happy to go with what works and is most interesting to all. |

Yes, we are building a roster but not just a team of elite players. Instead, first, second, third and fourth lines plus three defensive pairings. |

Ok, so someone like Domi could/should be a 4th liner. He won't get bumped out because of a skill lineup?
So basically, best 1st line, 2nd line, etc. |

Yes and apologies if blog was confusing. Lots of possible permutations as to how we do it, why I wanted to include as many as possible in the blog. |

What about Coaching / Training staff, TV, PA and Radio guys plus and Anthem singer?
Or do you want to skip right to an argument of why we should have ice boys instead of ice girls? |

If you're doing it by line, I nominate Jan Erixon's line as the shut down line. |
