If making the playoffs 3 times out of 13 years while getting knocked out in the first round makes you a contender then sign the Flyers up...well 3 playoff appearances in 5 years while getting knocked out in the first round.

Not saying you wont be in a few months, there a lot of time left, hell a lot could happen. But right now, I'm not ready to label you contender with that D AND that goalie...oh Freddy is not that bad, but I find he was plain terrible when it counted against Boston...not a good sign.

No shortage of salt in here these days. Imagine basing your entire pathetic existence on the Leafs sucking and being able to troll their fans...and then all of a sudden they don't. I imagine coming to grips with the new reality will be very difficult for some. Like taking away a child's favorite toy. I don't think scoring was the issue for them last year. Yes they added JT but he won't fix the D and losing JVR and his 36 goals is nothing to brush over. I think they will be better than last year but I wouldn't put them in the top 3 in the East.

Devils need secondary scoring still. Are they still in the running for tampas payroll cuts?? they have young players and lots of cap room to grow.
