Sutter will mercifully be traded this year while Gaudette slips into the three hole behind Pettersson and Horvat

I think EP and Brock would be a good combo . Teams best shot with potential teams best set up man.

Future considerations.

Goldobin EP Brock
JV Bo Roussel
Leipsic Sutter XXX
XXX Beagle Schaller

lots of options with who you left out. a little concerned about scoring.

JB is going to have to figure out who the core is at the end of the season. maybe Sutter will be gone but not sure if Gaudette will be ready. bring on the lotto.

I would hold off on any labeling of Goldy until we see him at training camp. I think he might impress with his progress.

He is our new Subban. Total dud 90% of the game. He will need Russian steroids to have a shot at sticking in the top 6

He's saying all the right things so far this summer about working on his defensive game and playing more consistently. He's only 22 turning 23, I'm willing to wait and see with him before passing judgement. Seems like a smart guy, more self aware than many of the guys he gets lumped in with

Sure, Hutton is going to come to camp skinny and Goldobin is going to harden up and learn to play defence over the summer. What’s next? Virtanen is going to grow his IQ? Players always say the right things over the summer.

Still have $14.5m cap space with only JV & Stecher to be signed. BB extension will fit in very nicely.

Weaponizing the cap looks to be in great shape. Nillson off the books after this season is another $2.5m.

New era starting & tons of prospects & another draft coming & the TDL gives us lots to look forward to. Expecting some trades to happen earlier than later.

If we're already looking forward to this then I guess expectations can't be too high for the season.

Virtanen thought he has been playing chess in the park all summer.... I just saw him, he's playing checkers in an elementary school playground.

Was just looking at Anders Lee's stats after reading speculation that if the Islanders didn't resign him he could be worth 7/8mil on the open market. I don't necessarily agree with that but he did score 40 goals this year.

I bring it up because he has always been a goal scorer much like Goldobin and it took him until he was 24 to stick in the NHL, despite debuting a couple of years before that. Too early to give up on Goldy yet imo.

A grand total of zero NHL franchises made it onto Forbes’ top-50 most valuable organizations this year, with the Dallas Cowboys coming out on top with a $4.8B value. The Cleveland Browns bring up the rear at #50 with a $1.95B value, ahead of the New York Rangers’ $1.5B valuation late last year. While this doesn’t necessarily indicate any troubles for the NHL, it does show just how far behind the league is still compared with some of the other sports leagues in the world. The NFL, NBA and MLB all have teams in the top-10, while several soccer clubs from around the world find themselves near the top.

It's hardly surprising. I used to listen to sports radio in New York all the time. Even in the middle of December hockey was hardly spoken about, baseball had far more airplay than the Rangers.

Oddly enough, the most recognition I ever heard related to hockey was when they ranked the summit series in the top 5 largest sporting events of the 20th century.

He is also willing to go to the dirty areas and definitely isn’t a perimeter dog. Has he been drafted?

'Merica doesn't care enough about it. Canadians are pretty passionate about our hockey but it all comes down to population. Nothing really to be concerned about for the NHL
