Was there any reason why the Alberta teams decided not to come to the young stars tournament? - manvanfan

Different looks is good but messing with good chemistry I’m no fan of. Sven Bo BB had it going great to change it up has to make sense & work. What line combos did you have in mind? Thx - Nighthawk
assuredly
i dont really have my heart set on any combos in particular.
mostly just keen to see if EP can push his way to the middle.
also like to see where Goblin and JV fit. I wouldn't mind seeing a line with those 3 now that I think about it. |

Jim Benning > John Chayka - LeftCoaster
i like chayka. he's done some decent work picking up LTIR contracts. he does seem to have a bit of the old "age gap" issue however (stepan etc), but i can also see the merits of having some experience on the roster as they begin to turn it around. also reasonably confident that hayton won't be a terrible pick in the long run.
Dubas is the guy though and it's not going to be long before everyone realises. |

I’d like EP to get his own line going for a 1-2 punch.
Keep Bo’s line together
JV EP Goldy-JV gets D responsibility
JV AG EP-AG & JV both get D
Leipsic EP JV-Leipsic & JV D
Any of those 3 combos i’d like to see.
Let EP roam & D for others is key |

I think EP and Brock would be a good combo . Teams best shot with potential teams best set up man.
Future considerations.

As of right now, hearing there is no rush in the Quinn Hughes decision, there is no timetable. #Canucks
Dahlen on if he can make #Canucks roster this season, “I have confidence in my game, I will go to camp and work hard and give it my best shot, do my best and see where it goes.” #Canucks

Not knocking your line up here but Roussell and JV on the same line in the top 6? I think Van may have a few more prospects in the pipeline that would be better suited to those roles. |

After hearing some views including Carols , it seems like college is the better place to be if he is not a Canucks. Travel on buses in Utica is much higher . More time to plactice and gym time in college. |

The puck would be in the right zone with the 3 of them . Bo loves crashing the net and the other two as well. It would be an attack line not a defend line IMO. Same as putting Ferland in the top 6 |

Ferland played in top 6 with playmakers. You have 3 skilled guys on the first line and 3 crash the net guys on the next line.
Somebody needs to disturb the puck. Reason why TG said Leipsic wasn't a good fit with Bo. They both liked to carry the puck. |

Do you see Gagner or Loui as a better fit ? I don't . I think you try all combos. A tem that finishes bottom 6 year after year should not have set lines |

I got the same reaction when I suggested years ago to play Burrows with the Twins. There was a few of us well ahead of that curve DCT SCooby myself |

Of course it will get that reaction and the same posters will then replace JV and Roussel with Gagner and Ericksson and later that year complain about why the finished bottom 5 and call the GM an idiot.
What does it cost to try something different? |

Sutter will mercifully be traded this year while Gaudette slips into the three hole behind Pettersson and Horvat |

I think JV could play that Ferland role but your right he would need playmakers as well

The clock continues to tick for Jacob Trouba and the Winnipeg Jets to get a new deal done and with roughly 48 hours to go before Friday’s arbitration hearing, the filings are in.
According to a source, the Jets are offering $4 million, while the Trouba camp is countering by asking for $7 million.

I'm actually not opposed to trying JV there except I wonder if he wouldn't work with Bo for the same reason Leipsic doesn't as they both like to take the puck for a skate. Roussel on the 2nd line is really grasping at straws though. |
