A) Sabres scouting
B) NHL drafting at age 18

I thisnk you statement should be adjsted to say, now that we know who he is, he is doing what people now think he is capable of.

I wanted to trade him for ROR right after he was drafted

Just that he had a habit of letting in bad goals. I don't think he was that good. If he played for the Panthers his whole career, A) it wouldn't have lasted as long and B) if it did he'd have half the wins.

You mean the Blues team that went to the playoffs for like 25 straight years? And the Islanders weren't the Islanders we know today then either.

I'm sorry, a .905 goalie that played in the most restrictive time in modern NHL history doesn't get in my HOF. He may just because he hung around for so long though. That doesn't mean he should though.

And trying to compare his goalie stats with guys from the 80s and earlier isn’t fair
