Agreed.
Pham should have done a better job in understanding the real situation better. Coming out with a definitive statement like that does cause a bit of skepticism. He shoul d have just left it atthe fact Antipin struggled withtne english language based on his direct contact with him.

Someone should have asked the question before locker clean out, for sure. The Sabres could have clarified things at any point as well, and chose not to.

Any reason why the Sabres wouldn't help him antipin adjust in your opinion?

Was it just an oversight? Being that the Sabres have only been around since 1970?

They have had other foreign players including russians

Hamilton should have done his homework, plain and simple. He never even backtracked or apologized. He just finnaly wrote that they did get him help. It was a bush-league move on Hamilton's part that made the Sabres look bad and gave Antipin an excuse. His misinformation about that is still bouncing around today.

I don't view him as a reporter. He's a radio personality

Not going with some conspiracy theory about tanking.

Maybe he could understand English enough to be comfortable. Maybe JB was stuck with a GMTM deal, that he didn't feel he could back out of.

The optics of the whole thing were bad, for sure.

Not sure exactly what your point is?

Last year we were losing on purpose and signed a 155 lb defenseman and didnt help him as adjust to the American culture?

This year we are trying to win, and didnt want him back, because hes an ahl level defenseman?

- Boss34

You just said they signed him to lose on purpose but he never played lol

It makes no sense what you’re implying

If he was good then why didn’t we sign him ?

But then you’re going to say because they played him when they didn’t ..

Which is it

Will still be at the bottom he’s probably going to get 15-20g maybe 15a I’m not expecting him to light it up his rookie year maybe 30-40 points

Antipin sucked, but did play 47 games.

He scored zero goals.

How is that a winning formula?
Moulson zero points in 14 games
Larson 4 goals in 80 games

If the Sabres couldn't figure out that his play may have been affected by a language barrier, that's pretty ridiculous.

If he sucked then wouldn’t that mean the Sabres should play him more ?

The team was just super bad and still is there was zero tanking last year

We played hungry rookies and Jack Eichel at the end of the year when we weren’t even close to clinching

If we’re tanking they would have never played the rookies or jack or any of the star players

They could have called up Molasses if they wanted to tank

Here's my bold prediction: we'll get a goal from a defenseman before mid-november. That should help

Sams max in his 4th year is less than he’s ever put up? That’s pure genius right there.
