Before we slipped in the standings and ended up with the 7th pick, Barzal was my number 1 or 2 draft target. Even after getting Provy, I still wanted them to trade up to get Barzal. As much as I like TK, I would have absolutely traded him straight up for MB.

Just one time, I would like for some of those people who tell shoot on the pp to come down to ice level to see from the player's perspective.

If there's no lane, it's off the guys shin pads and he's prob gone the other way for a shortie. Very frustrating.

Actually I'd love them to see it from the behind the goal on the opposite end of the ice from where they are set up. I sit behind the Flyers defensive zone for the first and third periods. As they yell shoot so many times I can clearly see it will go off a guys shin pads and cause an odd man rush the other way. Everyone around me just laughs after the next whistle at the idiots shouting shoot.

Knock out the easy one first. Bernier, not even an upgrade over Mrzrek.

Carter Hutton is 32 years old and had a really good season filling in for Jake Allen. A whopping 930 S%, yup stats and more stats. While playing on a NON-playoff team. Then again Elliot put up the same and better numbers while playing in St. Louis. Upgrade, not really.

Nashville...not trading Rinne. Then again here's a guy that I heard many say could be one of the worst in the league after a couple down years. Now many would love to have him again. Saros is 100% no as well, Nashville looks at him as a future. Neither is available unless the Flyers give major assets.

Florida...No to all. None of them help the Flyers. Nope not even old man Luongo.

San Jose...Obviously Martin Jones is unavailable with NTC. Dell would be nice if multiple goalies got injuried, but no upgrade there.

Colorado...Varlamov would be an upgrade at a premium cost for 1 year. Then again Sakic has already come out and said he wants both him and Grubs to share the nets.

Columbus...Bob the goalie, interesting. Super expensive, but multiple Vezina winner. Then you add the fact Columbus would want Hart++ for a possible rental who will want a raise. Bob would be an upgrade if the Flyers window for winning was the next 2 years, because after that they would have to give up a lot of future to get him while hoping to re-sign him. Who would be Columbus new goaltender? They are built to start winning now and won't be taking Elliott or Neurvirth in exchange. The percentage of Bob getting trading is about as close as Eklund having a blog without spelling mistakes.

I don't think frost is ready to centre that line. Again, I think it depends on what the team feels he can learn at the nhl vice the ahl. Tk scored 28 pts on the wing which we agree is easier to adjust to, and I never thought he was out of place. Just learning. I was fine with that contribution and he wasn't a d liability. Let's say frost can score 28 pts, and be a decent 2 way centre who improves as the year progresses.. would that suffice? I think it would.

Also, what point threshold does he need to attain in your mind? Not 40 so 30? 35?

The threshold is exactly what I said it was. He needs to show both that he is an upgrade over other choices at this point of his development and convince them that he can handle the grind of an NHL season physically. I think the chances of him making the team are low but not impossible. I think it's far more likely that he goes back to juniors.

Well I would make trades for McDavid and Crosby then get Ovechkin and Kane. Obviously go re-sign Brodeur in his prime and have Eddie Belfour back him up. Need some grit so add Chelios to the 3rd pairing to play with Mark Howe and go get Coffey as the 7th.
