"You don't know that."

If Tampa could make it work they would have already.

+35 contract. no cap relief.

he needs to borrow hossa's jock. put him on ltir with jock itch.

- Tumbleweed

Or just trade him to Arizona, like Hossa. 6.5 million cap hit for Arizona for free.

Also not true. They'd prefer to move Callahan but they may settle to move Killorn or someone else.

He scored 27 goals last season and played a good two way game.

Lets wait until after this season to talk about this...you can't predict the future as much as you think you can

Widely reported they were trying to move Callahan back to New York. It didn't work out. It's a very obvious situation. Tampa Bay needs to clear salary and would rather move their poop players than their good ones.

Not worth 6.5 million, especially if that means they can't sign other, younger, better players.

There's no need to move him if they don't sign Karlsson. Which they won't.

They could not complete the deal due to Callahan's injury. Rangers were expected to buy him out but they couldn't.

Yeah exactly. They couldn't buy out Callahan and Johnson didn't want to move

Legit question;
If, as reported, Kawhi Leonard refuses to play for the Raptors and does sit out for a year, can the league step in and do something? Admittedly, I don't know much about NBA rules when it comes to something like this.

That is the problem with giving players a bit less for "taxes"

They will demand a NMC and you are (frank)ing stuck with them no matter what....

That came from one guy.....

He can't enter free agency if he did that plus he would never do that because he needs to prove he is healthy and the MVP caliber player that he is or he can cut his future paycheque in half

Can't do that though. That's an obvious attempt at cap circumvention.
