Even if it's bias and voters give the Norris to a Cup winner, Karlsson would be the opposite situation, he's won two already without winning a Cup. Yet.
- Unholy_Goalie

either way, i'm on the he would make us better train.

i'd wait to the tdl; i think dorion overplays his hand and will sell low at that time.

make a real run this year without having to give up roster players.

Never thought I'd see the day where Leafs fans bullpoopted themselves into believing they don't need a Norris winner in his prime on the team.

Much better to stick with Gardiner, the same guy they blamed for game 7.

You know, since you're so smart you should make a scrap book of your posts and send it to Shanahan.

I'll bet he won't agree with you either, but will still offer you a comfy front office job. Director of Pointless Bickering is probably available.

The odds of Karlsson playing for the Senators until the TDL are slim to none. They either change his mind (unlikely) and he signs an extension in Ottawa or he's gone before the season starts.

Half young/half terrible.

He's probably going to be forced to. Karlsson has to go, he isn't in any position of strength. It's the ultimate fire sale, except it's Dorion getting fired no matter what he does.

Like trade him for less than he's worth before the season starts in a panic to avoid tanking and losing 1st overall to Colorado.

It's not entirely up to Dorion, it's up to Karlsson not wanting to play there anymore. It's also up to another team who could swoop in and steal him.

This is another thing you don't understand - tanking is a deliberate action. The Sens are just that bad, no action is required.

i'd lowball them. keep our roster intact for this year and deal with the cap issues next year.

I wish they would just sign him or trade him so that you would shut up about it already. The dead horse can't take another beating.

Lowball risks another team outbidding you and not getting Karlsson. You'd have to trade guys next year regardless to make it work, unless Marleau retires and Nylander makes 6.5 million. Then it could fit. But would Marleau retire to help the team?

Kawhi Leonard has no desire to play in Toronto, league source tells ESPN.

Why would he? He signed to play, and if he is still capable of it then he should.

Because he's old and the contract was designed for him to retire July 2nd, 2019.
