not that I care but I think it was a stupid move by Raps
first the coach
then remove a player who loves it in TO for this negative nancy on a 1 year contract
- Lucas.Neilson
They failed 4 times with him and the core....Especially in the NBA, you need to do something. There was always question if the Raps could win with Derozen/Lowry and their depth but no superstar. They could not.
This is their best chance they will ever have, |

This is their best chance they will ever have, - Santo_44 I think it's moot, to be honest. The Celtics are coming out of the East next year regardless. That team is too good and only gaining experience. I'm not even a huge basketball fan, so this isn't really me as a Boston 'homer'. Of course I root for them to win, but I didn't really care until the 2nd round of the playoffs this year.

What they had wasnt working.
Now, after 1 year if leonard leaves, it opens up so much cap space. |

In the last 30 years how many Norris trophy winners have won the cup in the same year? - jribout
Not sure but does that really matter for the point to still stand? If you have a Norris winner on your team, historically, it means you're going to the Cup Finals or winning a Cup eventually. |

I haven't bother to look it up, but is this perceived cause and effect or biased media voting?
i.e. - do guys win the norris before winning cups or does the media vote for them to win the norris after they win the cup? |

Even if it's bias and voters give the Norris to a Cup winner, Karlsson would be the opposite situation, he's won two already without winning a Cup. Yet. |

Never thought I'd see the day where Leafs fans bullpoopted themselves into believing they don't need a Norris winner in his prime on the team.
Much better to stick with Gardiner, the same guy they blamed for game 7.
