LA did not offer a lot for kawhi. Hence why hes going to toronto.
- Fakepartofme

That’s wrong, San Antonio wanted an insane amount for him, and LA didn’t want to pay that. May be an opportunity to find a middle ground.

That sounds about right....

I MEAN YEAH, SURE, I GUESS, I DON'T KNOW, I NEVER GO THERE HAHA!

- Scabeh

I think it was 2 for 1....$5.50/pint sounds like a price you pay in a Montreal gutter.

Leonard is a bumhole who's going to leave for L.A. in a year.

They traded a good player who loved playing for Toronto to get him.

I don't know much about Basketball, but this trade sounds pretty dumb for the Raptors.

- Scabeh

apparently the value is really good for the Raps.

But it looks like a win-now kinda thing.

Wasn't he the guy the Spurs had to get a 2nd opinion to try and force him to play because he kept claiming he was injured despite what the team's doctors were saying?

Its not wrong.
If the middle ground is not better than what the raps gave up....then its a bad deal for the raps.

Yes. He gave up on the team. It's why he was traded.

I'm just sad to see Derozan go. I think they should have offered Lowry. (I will say I know nothing about positions in basketball and this may have been a reason why it was Demar instead)

Arbitration filings for Jacob Trouba: Jets are at $4M, player at $7M. Hearing is 48 hours away.

- PatC80

No need for an offer sheet, Trouba putting the screws to Shovelsh!toff

He didnt give up. He was assessed incorrectly and the team began taking pot shots at him.

Do you even read what you type as you type it? San Antonio wanted a ton because they thought they had LA by the balls. LA didn’t bite. We got a good return for derozan all things considered but we have little likelihood of hanging onto him beyond this season. When you look to trade Leonard to LA you’re not trading him as a rental you’re trading the value of him signing that extension with LA. Kawhi Leonard on a long term contract playing with lebron is worth a lot (but maybe not quite what San Antonio was asking for)

What about the above is confusing to you?

Sure. I'll take your word for it.

Either way it made a rift between player and team and thus he's traded.

Yes, same guy. Also a former MVP of the playoffs on a championship team. Also considered (when healthy) a top five NBA player. Ujiri is desperate after the epic choke in the playoffs.

Either way, I'm happy big stars in the NBA don't have no trade clauses like they all do in the NHL. Makes for far more entertaining off seasons.

I still find the whole "fire the coach of the year" thing crazy.

Best of luck to the Raptors though, hopefully the guy plays to his potential.

Man just think of how many jerseys they can sell now! Everyone in Toronto had Lowry or Derozan already. Now you have to buy Leonard.

Absolutely, far more entertaining then “I’m resigning with the team that drafted me” 95% Of the time

What's your restaurant name again? I have a friend I think going your way soon for a wine tour. Told him I knew a good spot to eat.
