The only thing that troubles me at this point is his hoarding of picks.

I now believe based on John Vogl and my cursory search of the CBA that the conditional picks are tradeable. One of those picks, plus a D man and maybe a prospect should be traded for LW help.

Those picks are 3 years away from helping us.

Conversely, if he thinks his acquisitions of Sheary, Wilson, Thompson, Berglund, Sobotka, Dahlin, Scandella and Pominville will have a positive impact and help this team this year, then I'm all for it.

Teams have surprising seasons. But if this team goes south by Halloween, boy oh boy, it's gonna get ugly, and he has only his inactivity or inability to locate and secure talent to blame

Actually the only one who keeps moving the goalposts in almost every post is.. you guessed it, the child. I mean seriously, Murray made his picks as a GM not a scout, Skunk is a good player (but when you call him Stafford 2.0, you aren't saying he's a good player), and we need more scoring, but trade for Max (frank)ing Domi. Sam's climb is a steady one, I didn't compare him to Schiefele, but the point was they were close in points for their age and it would be silly to give up on Sam now like it would be silly to give up on Schiefele then. The child wants Sam to sign for 2 years at 3.5M and That. Isn't. Going. To. Happen. That's what this who discussion has been about.

So Scheifele being close in points is a good comparison, but Stafford and Reinhart having almost identical goal scoring rates through the same amount of time is meaningless?
