You people understand they both play different positions ?

Facts mean nothing

Next time use a player that’s a wing

- gerbe75pts

We've been over this, centers tend to get more points than wingers.

6 of the top 10 point getters this year were centers. There are twice as many wingers than centers, so if point distribution was even there should be 6 or 7 wingers in the top 10, not the other way around.

It's hard to compare because Schiefle played 2 years in Juniors after being drafted, whereas Reinhart only played 1. Just about anyone outside of Buffalo, as well as most people inside Buffalo, will tell you that Schiefle is the better player, but using where they were at in year 3 as a pro is a bad metric. Age had a lot to do with it.
- buffalofan19

How so? That leads to Sam being better because he was younger after his year 3.

Good guys like
Pouliot
Antipin
Josephson
Beau

Non of those guys are good nhl players

Tennyson
Griffith
Moulson for 17 games

How many worse players could we possibly ice?

Lehner
Chad

- Boss34

LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Botts brought in Pouliot, Antipin, Josefson and Beau! I can't believe that didn't transform the Sabres into cup contenders.

Where the coach tells him.
- Wetbandit1

I’m pretty sure he has the power right now not the coach ..

You’re not gonna put him in a situation where he’s not comfortable

The notion that Reinhart out produced Schiefle at this stage of his career is really false.
- buffalofan19

What? No one said out produce, Homie said about the same.

Scheifele first 3 years pro: 144 points.

Reinhart: 139

Scheifele: 57 goals

Reinhart: 65

He is an 18 year old rookie. He has no power other than the long term “power” of wanting him to be happy enough to perform well.

Age was more of a factor. Schiefle had 2 years of Junior eligibility after he was drafted. Reinhart only had one.
- buffalofan19

Age has nothing to do with anything. They both turned pro when they were 20. What are you on about?

Dude gets 50 points and you want me to jump for joy ? He was the first forward taken he should be in the 70 -80 points
Or close to a PPG

We drafted him to be a first line center and now he’s wing thank god we drafted Casey or we be (frank)ed

Tell me would you take him first overall if we did a redraft ?

I’m just disappointed he’s not this wizard center he was projected to be

- gerbe75pts

Boo (frank)ing hoo. Would you rather us have Yakupov? Get over it.

The only reason why those 2 weren’t in the conversation for 2 they didn’t play center

Centers are the ones that skyrocket in the draft

If scouts knew Sam was never going to play center we might’ve got ehlers

I’m going to disagree if he tells The coach that I’m more comfortable playing the right I’m pretty sure The coach will let him be

If he’s an absolute disaster then the coach has all the power to do what’s necessary

Pretty sure he has a few people to consult with in regards to Sam's contract. It's not on jbotts.
- Boss34

He's the man that makes the deal, it's 100% on him.

Chiarelli had lots of advice, but he was still the dumbass that traded Seguin away.

I like the O-side of the roster better than others posted recently.
Participation Award to you.

I love how baby boomers use this unironically. You're the (frank)ing ones who invented the participation award!

Jbotts makes the final decision before the pegulas.

Anything big gets run by them. Kim is the president. Not just in name like they wanted with patty.

To say "rookie mistake" if they sign sam for 4 years doesn't make sense. Unless botts isnt listening to anyone. That's not how things are at pse in my opinion.

4 years is flat out dumb for sam

What is the argument exactly? I’m confused.

So if Reinhart doesn’t put up a PPG soon like Schiefele are we moving the goalposts again?

Reinhart is a good player. It ends there until he proves otherwise

I hope he does

- sbroads24

He's no wizard that's for sure. He plays like a "sleeve of wizard" though...

So much dumb stuff going on there.

Firstly, what a bunch of dumb yes men.

Secondly, Chiarelli negotiated against himself on the phone there. He said "it's a first, but you don't have one, so a second."

I'm not sure that signing Reinhart constitutes "big". Eichel's contract was big, trading ROR was big.

4 years for Sam would be a monumental (frank)-up that lays squarely at Botterill's feet.

How he still has a job after anyone has seen this video is beyond me.

Honorable mention to:

If we want to sign Horton, we have to trade Seguin

Ok, we can't get Horton

Better trade Seguin.

Would you call it a rookie mistake?

That's cutting him some slack, blaming inexperience?

Maybe it is?
